(4:40 p.m. I told Jane that I’d thought she would speak longer, but she said she often feels that if she did I’d never get the sessions typed. [...]

(I’ve also thought of re-reading yesterday’s excellent session to her often, as a sort of reminder.)

[...] I thought of requesting of staff that she be given some Darvoset, or something like it, in the afternoons, but I hadn’t mentioned this because I felt my wife would reject the idea. [...]

[...] Jane said later that she thought Seth would indeed return. [...]

[...] No, I told her, I thought it was an excellent title, and that it said exactly what she wanted the reader to know.¹

[...] She had been most of the day, and by supper time she’d even thought of skipping the session. [...]

[...] Let it come down and fill your physical image with joy and vitality, with energy that will fill out your cells and your tissues, with energy that will heal whatever is wrong with your physical being, with energy that will straighten out your thoughts, open up the self that you know to the knowledge that belongs to you (loud) and has belonged to you before the beginning of your time. 5. Concentrate on his theories, ideas, rather, than on thoughts of work.

(Jane said she thought Seth might have gone into the survival material because of some of the marginal notes made on her ESP manuscript by our unknown friend, particularly on the chapters dealing with reincarnation.

(She thought the last paragraph came about because our same friend had made some notes about authentic survival messages being given in “shorthand,” the letter “U” for the word you, etc.

[...] This was my first opportunity to ask a question during such experiments; I picked what I thought was a safe one, meaning that I didn’t think it would give Jane any clues.

Once you accept, you see, that idea then you must, if you follow your thought completely through, accept the idea of a random accidental universe in which you are at the mercy of any accident; in which mind or purpose have little meaning; in which you are at the mercy of all random happenings; in which 300,000 human beings can be swept off the face of the planet without reason, without cause, simply at the whim of an accidental happening. [...] Following that line of thought, then accidentally, if you follow this through, a group of atoms and molecules were sparked into consciousness and song and then will return to the chaos from which they came. [...] There is no reason, again, why you can’t achieve out-of-body proficiency, and when you do, you will be able to experiment with thought creations, trying out, forming, using or discarding, thought paintings. In an out-of-body state you can reach rather easily those environments which thoughts become a sort of plastic pseudo material, almost instantaneously.

[...] I thought that perhaps Seth asked about an end to the session because Jane was blocking material about me she thought I might not like to hear. [...]

As soon as Seth mentioned her feelings of inferiority at the beginning of the session, it was all downhill for me; I thought we’d done a reasonable job on encountering those with our pendulum work, but it seemed that they were still as present and active as ever. These factors triggered that brief moment when Ruburt thought he could get up normally. [...]

[...] Ruburt is working well with his beliefs, and seeing them reflected in all portions of his life as mentioned, Dialogues, some other thoughts he had only beginning to be expressed in Tim’s (Foote) letters and his work, are working together in a therapeutic framework.

[...] The same applies to your own thoughts. They are not “wasted” after you have thought them (with humor), or simply discarded. [...]
