“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

[...] As physical creatures, they focused upon what you think of as physical identities: separate, individual differences, endowing each physical consciousness with its own original variations and creative potentials, its own opportunity for completely original experience, and a viewpoint or platform from which to participate in reality—one that at that level could not be experienced in the same way by any other individual (all very intently). This is [the] privileged, always new, private and immediate, direct experience of any individual of any species, or of any degree, as it encounters the objective universe.

[...] Metaphysically, they can be thought of as the point at which All That Is acts to form [your] world—the immediate contact of a never-ending creative inspiration, coming into mental focus, the metamorphosis of certainly divine origin that brings the physical world into existence from the greater reality of divine fact. [...] The dream world was his original learning ground. [...]

This situation can be serious in varying degrees, according to the impetus and intensity of the original propelling cause behind the impeding action. [...]

[...] It must be seen by the personality that the impeding action is a hardship on the part of the whole structure, and that this particular portion of the self is not basic to the original personality structure, but only adopted.

[...] Now, if the old unifying system of the personality has broken down, the illness, serving as a makeshift, temporary emergency measure, may hold the integrity of the personality intact until a new constructive unifying principle replaces the original.

When the lines to the original action are released and the channels opened to it, the illness will vanish. [...]

One was that because objects just originate in man’s imagination anyway, there’s always a strong connection between objects and man’s dreams. They act as symbols of inner reality, so it’s only natural that whether he’s aware of it or not, man perceives objects in such a fashion that they also stand for symbols that first originate in his dreams. [...] An extra copy of this dream is attached to my own notebook that I’m letting grow all by itself into ideas that may be used in a work of my own, similar to Seth’s original suggestion forThrough My Eyes.

[...] It only occurs, however, under certain conditions, when the individual involved is at a certain state of awareness, in which he is ready to consciously accept such information as originating in dreams, and when the dreams are recognized by him as being an acceptable way of receiving information.

(But, I think, in those terms there can be an appreciable lag before an original perception-event takes on any special significance for the concerned person or persons. During that lapse, that first impression is being modified and enhanced within the psyche by subsequent events and understandings; it starts to build up in importance; then, when all of the intuitive-creative “work” has been done, the original perception emerges — or bursts — into consciousness. [...] They transmit “originality” without altering it, however, through the social structures.

I say that they (the Sumafi) do not alter the originality. [...]

[...] Each slight variation in intensity is meaningful from this information, as to physical time; placement in space and the like must be comprehended, and this particular specific type of information is a relatively small part of the original dream experience, which is composed of electrical pattern, thick only in terms of intensity.

You must, then, project or materialize the dream universe outside of the physical self in an electric reality, and then reinterpret it, because the original dream experience has an electric reality that cannot be perceived or used, even by its creators, until it is decoded.

[...] In the original dream experience then, the electrical reality of the dream is broken down, so to speak, into its varying intensities, by the mind.

[...] The calculations would have to be based upon the supposition that the original system somehow had its origin within the room itself. [...]

All of your manufactured objects also originated in the realm of dreams, first obviously being conceived of mentally, and in the same way man produced his first tools. [...]

[...] But if what I am telling you is true, then it is obvious that when I say that your physical world originated in the world of dreams, I must mean something far different from the usual definition of dream reality. [...]

[...] In a curious fashion, however, that circle of safety provides each individual with the freedom and curiosity to go ahead and test independent theories and situations—so it also serves the purposes of creativity and knowledge, and even allows for the acquisition of new knowledge that was not in the original belief structures. The Sinful Self material represents those ideas that were strong element in the original belief structural of a cultural nature, to which Ruburt was “bonded.” [...]

[...] At certain points, then, the assimilation of new information is so qualifiedly different from the original belief structure that in order to assimilate it the personality is left for a time between belief systems. [...]
