Within your system, for the “first time”, in quotes, individualized consciousness is strongly-enough organized to do, in quotes, “good or evil.” [...] It is not able to utilize enough energy to maintain a system of its own, but operates as an adjunct to other stronger systems.

The horror and the results of mismanagement, and the vulnerability, are the teaching methods that each consciousness has accepted before entering your system. There is no way out but to learn or to ruin the entire system. [...] There must be no leaning upon the very basic fact that behind and within the system there is relief. [...]

If a certain intensity is reached, however — a peak of intensity — then you could perceive the spacious present as it exists within your native system. You could, from this peak, look into other systems, but you would not understand what you perceived, not having the proper root assumptions. I have used the idea of neighboring systems for simplicity’s sake, as if they were laid out end to end. [...] The systems [of reality] are more like the various segments of a tangerine, with the uncamouflaged boundary areas like the white membrane between the tangerine sections.

Projections within your own system will, of course, involve you with some kind of camouflage. If none is present, you will know you are out of the system. [...] Even there, you are to some extent free from the space-time elements of your own system. [...]

There is a cohesiveness to the inner universe and to the systems that are not basically physical. But this is based upon an entirely different set of root assumptions and these are the keys that alone will let you manipulate within other systems or understand them. [...]

In the old system also, any physical problem is seen as naturally remaining or worsening. In our system of belief, you see, that is not the case. These can then be used as the raw material, so to speak, in certain other systems. [...]

People’s beliefs do form the cultural system, which then exerts its influence upon the individual. The cultural system is not imposed however from some outside source, and it is not biologically predetermined. [...]

The next was the system of science. And for some time he felt it to be a framework in which man could discover the truth about himself, and his relationship with the universe—but always there was the hope that some established system was there someplace. [...]

All of these probable systems are open. In your system it seems as if you chose one course, one main line of probabilities, and that is the end of it. In your system, only one ego predominates and you think of yourself as that ego. In other systems, this is not necessarily the case. The probable system does not achieve its order through subjective association, but the term is the nearest I can use to approximate the basic causes for this order. [...] Your own system is real and concrete only within its own field, remember.

[...] You call his system an alternate system of probability, but this is precisely what he would call yours.

There are many you’s in the probable systems, and each You is related psychologically in a personality structure. [...] In your system, all the other You’s seem to exist in a probable reality.

We have to some extent explained the reality of the personality within the electrical system. [...] But during its alliance within the physical system, it is diffused within the cellular structure, and interrelating actions between the biological system, the electrical system, and the personality structure actually form the reality of the human individual.

You cannot probe into the one system without affecting the others. [...] It is obvious of course that the personality system will react to stimuli that seem, to the ego, to be far divorced in time. [...]

[...] The active gestalt of the personality is indeed so complex, the actions that compose it are so intertwined, that only the deep, interior intuitions of the personality involved will ever come close to a complete understanding of the workings of the particular personality system.

[...] There is no escaping this heritage, and it is so important that without it the personality system could not be built up.

Thoughts as offspring have a strong effect in all systems, and directly change the camouflage material of any system.

[...] Thoughts take electromagnetic patterns that have their own materializations as universal systems. [...]

The nature of action causes depths in terms of intensities that you do not understand, but these intensities build up to the appearance of physical matter within your system.

You will never find a first action, and only within your system does such a search have any meaning. [...]

[...] Of itself it will not lift you out of the framework of the physical system, but merely allow you to see that system as it is. It will allow you to experience your relationship with the system, and the system’s relationship with the whole.

You are as a rule aware of one system only and not generally conscious of yourself as anything but a creature of that system. [...] It should not be forgotten that these environmental systems are directly created by those who dwell within them, and this includes your own.

Your idea of a god, in fact any concept held by humanity, represents at best a very small and insignificant idea, based upon the root assumptions of your own system. [...] Simply taking your own physical system and its physical universe, all intelligent life is simply not humanoid. Even in this limited conception of yours then, the concept of a human god is almost meaningless, and there are many other systems in which the word humanoid would have no real meaning at all.

As I have mentioned many times, at present you focus your attentions and consciousness within the physical system. [...] Existence within any system will necessitate some imprinting. [...]

[...] Constant creativity applies to every system, then, and what you create in one system has its effects in other systems also.

[...] In each system it can only be perceived according to the camouflage patterns inherent there.

This physical room and this particular moment within this room all exist simultaneously in other systems, though they may or may not appear in the same form. [...]

[...] In the same way that an idea may appear within your system as a thought, a mental image, a dream picture or as a physical object, so does any action-event appear in many forms.

[...] There are many yous in that system, and each you is related psychologically in a personality structure. [...] In this system, all the other yous seem to exist in a probable reality.

[...] It is expressed in some reality system. [...] Those inner thoughts or desires, impulses not made physically real in your terms, will be made real within other systems.

They remain latent within you and unexpressed within this system. [...] You remain latent in their personality structures, and your main abilities are unused within their systems. [...]

[...] This particular step is not attained by all within your system. [...]

The CU’s, following that analogy, serve as source points or “holes” through which energy falls into your system, or is attracted to it — and in so doing, forms it. [...] As CU’s leave your system, time is broken down. [...] New CU’s enter and leave your system constantly, then. Within the system en masse, however, through their great and small organizational structures, the CU’s are aware of everything happening — not only on the top of the moment (gesturing), but within it in all of its probabilities.

This inward and outward thrust allows for several important conditions that are necessary for the establishment of “relatively” separate, stable universe systems. Such a system may seem like a closed one² from any viewpoint within itself. Yet this inward and outward thrusting condition effectively sets up the boundaries and uniqueness of each universal system, while allowing for a constant give-and-take of energy among them.

2. In general, given the nature of the CU’s — Seth’s postulated “basic” units of consciousness that make up all realities — closed systems cannot exist. From Session 581 in Chapter 20 of Seth Speaks: “Basically, however, no system is closed. [...] It is only the camouflage [physical] structure that gives the impression of closed systems, and the law of inertia does not apply. [...]

Coming together, the units actually form the systems of reality in which they have their experience. In your system, for example, they are within the phenomenal world. [...]

[...] This image trace is a lingering manifestation, an imprint within your system, a part of its reality, and is held within it as you might for example retain an idea in your mind long after the idea has been expressed physically. As a painting that is destroyed physically may still be retained in your mind, so in the reality of the physical system a trace remains, an image trace of the camouflage structure that enclosed a given personality.

There are endless coordinates, like infinities of prisms, fitting within, into, transposed upon, and permeating your own physical system, but your outer senses do not perceive them.

[...] Each exists to some extent where the other is, and yet the camouflage structures make it necessary for those within any given system to recognize the certain characteristics, only, of the one in which focus is to be maintained.

At physical death, in your terms, the personality structure is able to approach certain coordinates, to perceive them, and to change focus from one system to another. [...]

[...] There is constant motion in this system, as in all others, and the constant motion within the electrical system makes motion possible within your own system; and “time” is indeed, here, an electrical impulse that grows by intensity, and not by moments.

[...] For you make the divisions yourselves, and in such a manner have made the framework and all the possibilities, potentials and limitations inherent within a system set up with a divided time system.

Depths are contained within this system that are not depths in terms of space, but rather definite depths and dimensions in terms of varying intensities. [...]

[...] Within the electrical system, intensity is also responsible for the potentiality, duration and electrical mass, which is a mass of a different sort; a mass that takes up no space, and is not made of matter as you know it, but mass whose thickness is one of varying electrical intensities which form a definite shape, a separate field more or less, an electrical coded counterpart for physical matter.
