Now: In our book, I will be doing my best to explain the origin of your universe, and in such a way that most of the pertinent questions are answered, but man’s present concept of reality is so limited that I must often resort to analogies.

(Louder, and in answer to our talk earlier:) I am quite willing to hold as many sessions a week as suits your fancies. [...]

(We did not hold our regularly scheduled session last night. This evening both of us felt logy after our supper of veal and spaghetti—yet Jane was also restless. [...]

It was amusing to watch our friend Ruburt. [...]

(This morning I wrote Maude Cardwell a short letter, promising more later, both from ourselves and via our lawyer. [...]

[...] She ate a good lunch, and I brought home scraps for our cats, Billy and Mitzi. [...]

Your own knowledge, desire, purpose and intent tuned you into some such communications, so your concern for Joe Bumbalo (our next-door neighbor on Pinnacle Road) tuned you into his physical and emotional state at that time.

[...] At 11:55 a.m., as I was waiting for a call from our lawyer, John Bumbalo, Joe’s son, called. [...]

Our (ESP) classes occur in your physical reality. [...]

(The next day Jane called the electric company to see if there had been a power failure, even momentarily, in our neighborhood. [...]

[...] All was quiet in the halls re Teresa and Christine, though before Jane was through the emergency alarm sounded by the elevators outside our door. [...]

[...] There followed our routine of massage with Oil of Olay, a nap, then supper. [...]

[...] While we were having last Saturday’s session, someone knocked on our door; I didn’t answer it and they left. [...]

[...] They too had knocked at our door earlier —while we were napping this afternoon. [...]

To do this properly, however, you must not check at every moment in Framework 1. If our young woman of this evening had done that, she would have hopelessly complicated matters. [...]

[...] The fear that the methods will not work in any one regard inhibits the process—as if our young woman said “I am sure I will not meet the Buttses, although I want to.” [...]

[...] Just as they had before our three-month layoff from book work [after Session 707], her trances for “Unknown” Reality were proving to be more “difficult” to initiate than those for the previous Seth books.⁹ She often had to wait for just the right moment to get back into dictation following a break, too; so tonight, after we’d shared an apple, she sat rather impatiently anticipating Seth’s return. [...]

(After the session we had something more to eat, then relaxed by playing with our cat, Willy. [...]

A note: Just as he periodically reminds us of his material-to-come on physical aging and out-of-body states (see Note 4, above), Seth mentions that there are more inner senses he’ll tell us about someday — then adds that many of them are so far removed from reality as we understand it that our comprehension will be intellectual at best; in such cases we won’t be able to identify with them emotionally. [...]

Projections from the dream state intrigue me because in them I believe we encounter the inside of our own consciousness in a most direct fashion. In a way, we are completely on our own, manipulating in a subjective environment, aware of the workings of consciousness when it is not soaked up or fastened upon objective specifics. [...]

[...] “Rob, this isn’t really our apartment, is it?” I asked. [...] That plant by the window sill isn’t ours. [...]

[...] “The plant is ours. [...]

[...] It was weeks later before I regained my normal feelings for our apartment. [...]

Now our friend, Ruburt, is not about to go for all this sexual hanky-panky that is described in this precious book, but the man who wrote the book picked up his information from the inner self and then he made a story about it. [...]

Now our friend, Ruburt, is a loner and he does go out in areas that frighten him. [...]

(During break a discussion of anger, both to our children and to ourselves.)

([Gert:] “If we feel that we give our secret honestly, would you let us know whether or not that’s it?”)

[...] Two weeks of this went for our vacation, but otherwise we’ve been very busy. [...]

[...] At first I thought the break was announced because our cat, Willy, had jumped up into Jane’s lap while she was speaking. [...]

Now we will end our session unless you have questions.

[...] I had been typing a session in my studio, while class met in our living room. [...]

[...] A thunderstorm had been trying to develop for some little while; finally it began to rain and blow as I helped Jane prepare a dish to be baked for our evening meal.

[...] We have on two evenings visited the home in question, and we have personally done our best in directing the healing energy of the universe to this woman.

It is, again, a good idea to review those portions of our sessions devoted to Ruburt’s condition.

(Jane’s ideas — and mine, too — have matured considerably since I wrote a month ago that she was thinking of converting half of our garage into a writing room, with its attendant back porch.
