“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(The session is quite unusual, in that all of it is devoted to experimental material of one kind or another. This includes the two usual tests plus the material delivered by Seth concerning our landlord. The landlord data arose out of one of those rather small incidents that keep accumulating emotional charges when most of the people involved turn stubborn.

(After the second foot of snow fell last weekend, the tenants of the house waited as usual for the landlord to appear with his plow. Drifts several feet deep had piled up in the driveway and against the garages. The landlord did not appear. Three days went by. It developed that he had thought we could shovel our own way out. By this time of course recriminations were beginning to fly back and forth by phone, although this did not involve Jane and me. Finally one of the tenants threatened to move, after feelings had been bruised all around. The situation was not without its comic aspects.

(The specialist, actually the man who keeps the house in good running order for the landlord, is a personal friend of his. While talking to Jane he mentioned that our landlord’s books had been called in by the Internal Revenue Service.

(This afternoon I had delivered to our landlord’s supper club, here in Elmira, four large oil paintings which we mounted on the club walls. Our landlord had just finished redecorating his establishment, and wanted some original art for it. [...]

[...] Jane also said she felt somewhat put out, or “pulled up short” at the short session, although earlier this evening she had expressed the wish for either a short session, or none at all, so we could attend the opening of the supper club operated by our landlord.)

On the other hand her lawyer may say something to your landlord that will make him make an angry retort that will then cause the buyer to hold off. [...] These are the probabilities now, in which case your landlord will still own the property, and it will be relatively unchanged.

(The reference to a kitchen extension concerns our efforts to get our landlord to enlarge our very small kitchen. The house is having a new roof put on now, and the man doing the job is going to speak to our landlord about the kitchen project when the roof is finished. [...] Jane has been focusing on our landlord, whom we like very much incidentally, each day, concerning the kitchen. [...]

[...] Since the paper samples I requested were for watercolor paper, I can see where many colors and “a landscape of a landscape” can enter in, since I wanted to test the paper by doing some small landscapes at our landlord’s farm. In 1963 we borrowed from our landlord, Jimmy Spaziani, the Ouija board that led to the sessions. [...]

(A long unscheduled session was held at the home of our landlord, James Spaziani, on the above date. It was attended only by Jane, myself and Marian Spaziani, the wife of our landlord, although others were present in the house.

[...] I’m curious about some other apartments, also in this building, and owned by our landlord also. [...]

(Outside there is still another apartment house that belongs to our landlord. [...]

[...] You would like to kick the downstairs tenants out, and you would like to kick your poor landlord, because you think that Ruburt would like that apartment, and you cannot afford it; and he would not, you believe, come down on his rent.

She was very sensitive therefore to telepathic suggestions sent her way by tenants, and felt that they did not like her, highly resented her as the new landlord. [...]

I do suggest merely that your friend and landlord look at it, but merely because this will set your own feelings; and that is all.

(Sunday 6/14, 11:30 PM: Jane and I had relaxed by spending the day in the country, principally at the farm of our landlord. [...]

[...] Our landlord, Rich Elgersma, visited us this evening and told Jane and me about a trailer and lot that he could have acquired not long ago for $1300.00. [...]

[...] Our landlord gave it to us, and we fixed it up and repainted it.

(In addition Jane and I visited Jim and Marian Spaziani, our landlord and his wife, to make arrangements for them to attend the session for next Monday, February 8. The Spazianis will also bring a mutual friend.
