There are always new things to be learned as new levels are reached, new controls to be mastered, new balances to be maintained, new disciplines that must be adopted; and initially this does involve a natural, added exertion of energy and increased activity, before the whole self learns to deal with the new level, and is comfortable in its manipulations.

[...] Too much smooth sailing could then lead to overconfidence, before the whole self had mastered the controls and disciplines really necessary.

Time overlays are versions of master events, in that they occur in such a fashion that one “face” of an overall event may appear in one time, one in another, and so forth.

“Seth as a ‘master event.’ As the Mona Lisa is ‘more real’ than, say, a normal object or the [materials] that compose it, so is all good or great art more than its own physical manifestation. [...]

The individual attempts to project these psychological structures into physical reality, where they will then be known, realized, manipulated, and to some extent mastered as matter.

[...] But now it seems that when science claims to understand the workings of a molecule of DNA, for example — the “master molecule” of life, as it’s often called — science then states that it’s stripped away the mystery of DNA and reduced our functions to easily understood mechanistic ones. [...]
