Adam in this respect would be the superior qualities that you sometimes sense in him, the Aerofranz that you know... [...]

[...] This also applies to your inner senses. The more you use your inner senses, the more data you have at your command.

[...] He would exist within your psyche as a small but definite organization of characteristics that would continue within themselves to retain a sense of identity. [...]

Using an analogy again, the brain is quite capable of operating on innumerable “frequencies,” each presenting its own picture of reality to the individual, each playing upon the physical senses in a certain manner, organizing available data in its own specialized way, and each dealing somewhat differently with the body itself and with the contents of the mind.

[...] If all of this was transposed over the program that you expected, you would indeed think that nothing made any sense.

[...] You see them as they were, confined to their relationship with you, and you usually do not perceive or remember other aspects of their existences that would not make sense in terms of your own beliefs.

[...] Quickly you try to make sense of such material in usual terms. [...]

[...] They were clued into sense perception, then. These pulses or messages became the only official data that, translated into sense perception, formed physical reality. [...]

[...] The immediate nature of full-blast sense data was missing. [...] Motion was, however, the strongest sense element. [...]

[...] In that way cellular comprehension is allowed its free flow; but the selectivity mentioned (in sessions 682–3) bypasses such information, so that it does not conflict with present sense data requiring physical action in time.

Where your physical survival, in those terms, once depended upon a narrowed focus while you learned physical manipulation, now the success of that manipulation necessitates a broadening of focus — a new awakening into the larger existence of the selfhood, with what will be a corresponding rerecognition of neurological activity that is now only briefly sensed by some (like Jane), but present in the heritage of your corporal structure.

[...] You will see also how the inner senses are equipped to perceive basic inner realities of the inner universe, in much the same manner that your outer senses are equipped to manipulate within your camouflage universe.

[...] And in your case you are learning to transform inner energy by forming it into physical constructions that the plane enables you to manipulate by the formation of particular outer senses for this purpose. [...]

[...] Your senses are not equipped to perceive the transformation of energy from one form to another.

[...] What you call death is merely the transformation of your own energy onto a sphere that cannot be perceived by the outer senses. [...]

5. So far in Volume 2, I’ve mentioned the inner senses (as described by Seth) in Note 5 for Session 709, and Note 6 for Appendix 18. [...] 6, Innate Knowledge of Basic Reality, in the 40th session for April 1, 1964: “This is an extremely rudimentary sense. It is concerned with the entity’s working knowledge of the basic vitality of the universe … Without this sixth sense and its constant use by the inner self, you could not construct the physical camouflage universe. You can compare this sense with instinct, although it is concerned with the innate knowledge of the entire universe.”

At least to some degree, Jane’s exploration last Friday afternoon of those super-real models for our world represented her use of the sixth inner sense — the same one, she wrote in Chapter 19 of The Seth Material, that “… also shows itself in inspirations, and episodes of spontaneous ‘knowing.’ Surely this sense was partially responsible for my Idea Construction manuscript.” [...]

[...] I could look at each person and sense his or her ‘model’ and all the variations, and see how the model was here and now in the person. [...]

[...] I felt this physically, in the same way that we sense, say, temperature; a positive support or pressure that held the road up and almost seemed to push up of its own accord in a long powerful arch, like a giant animal’s back.”

It is easier then to sense and feel the alive energy within and beneath the physical forms that you see. It is easier to feel yourself as the artist, also a part of the landscape that you paint; to sense the merging of your own energy into the scene before you, and to realize that you are a part of it also. [...]

[...] If you sense the peculiar and overall gestalt that is beneath the form at any given time, then creation of the form will follow naturally and truly.

Painting or sketching outdoors for a while will aid you considerably in your ability to sense this inner unity, to see each natural object in its individualistic momentary majesty, and yet to realize that it is in one way a center through which all energy moves.

[...] When you attach your attention say to a flower, it is not only a matter of imagining yourself as the flower, or trying to sense what a flower is. [...]

Exuberance (pause) and a sense of vitality are always present to some degree or another.

[...] Many other people, however, lose this sense of safety —

(Long pause at 4:29.) The quality of life is intensely important, and is to a large extent dependent upon a sense of well-being and self-confidence. [...]

[...] She said that she was doing well — obviously — then added that when she spoke a sentence for Seth she also sensed the other sentences to come, or those around the spoken one. [...]

He just told you that when he begins to speak for me he senses an entire tall structure of words, and unhesitatingly he lets that structure form (intently). The same is true with his ability to move and walk; the more he trusts his energy, the more his spontaneity forms its own beautiful order that results in the spontaneous physical art of walking — and he is indeed well along the way. [...]

[...] There is, for example, a part of you who is very aware of these pulsations, and who is aware of pulse sense of memory. [...]

[...] There are no other doors—your own sense of adventure. [...]

[...] It will instead inspire you to take a better hand in the job of creation, and that feeling of divine presence you will find indeed, and feel indeed, for you will sense it behind the dance of the molecules and in yourself and in your neighbors. [...]

Now I am going to close our session, but I would like you all to read carefully a copy of what I have said, and now and then, where you have nothing else—nothing better to do—then try, try to sense that lapse in the pulsation of your consciousness. [...]

The overdone sense of responsibility can erode love and satisfaction. During that experience I knew that we formed physical matter, not the other way around; that our senses showed us only one three-dimensional reality out of an infinite number that we couldn’t ordinarily perceive; that we could trust our senses only so far and only so long as we did not ask questions that were beyond their limited scope of knowledge.

Despite all my previous ideas and common sense, I knew that time wasn’t a series of moments one before the other, each one like a clothespin stuck on a line, but that all experience existed in some kind of eternal now. [...] Even now it fills me with that sense of discovery and revelation:

[...] The difficulty in understanding this principle is due to the fact that we’ve taken it for granted that the image and sound already exist for the senses to interpret. Actually the senses are the channels of creation by which idea is projected into material expression.

Indeed you form the patterns in the sense universe, but when you have formed them, you must know them not only as your own creations. [...]

[...] The sense of accomplishment involved in physical work will do wonders for you. It will take away the sense of unworthiness that you now have. [...]

[...] However, a flower has better sense than to ask whether or not it exists. [...]

[...] The high and mighty intellect that deals with the world of sense is not all. [...]

(To Laurie.) To our friend behind me, let me say that your friend has gone and left with a sense of release. [...]

[...] They did what they thought they were supposed to do, but do not feel nearly the sense of accomplishment or pleasure with their lives that they once expected. [...]

Dick finds pleasure in golf, because it represents an area in which he has hope of performing with some effectiveness, of acting with a spontaneity that knows its own order, and of experiencing his natural sense of power.

Deplorable as world conditions seem, for example, as man’s desperate need for self-understanding is made known to himself, so in that world also there is a time of sensed change: new values that “will take this time.” [...] (More fireworks at 8:46, but Seth wasn’t bothered.) These periods involve accelerations, sensed while they may still be invisible, and it is this kind of period that you have just now entered into. [...]

[...] A time and a rhythm occurred in which you both knew that therapeutic ventures, started now for many reasons could take quicker route—that is, you sensed upon a new probability. [...]

(Pause at 8:43.) It attracted you—you felt the pull of needed change (with gestures), but this change had a new sense of attraction. [...]

[...] The patient is therefore forced to transfer his own sense of power to others, which further deepens his misery; this in turn reinforces the sense of powerlessness that initiated his condition.

Sense data therefore may be the result of perception of outer and inner environment. It is simpler to translate information from the outer environment into sense data. [...] There are frequent distortions but there are also frequent distortions in more ordinary sense perceptions. [...] There is in the physical world an illusion of continuity, against which sense data can be checked. There is no like sense of continuity, as a rule, against which to check sense perceptions which are translations of inner data.

Some sense impressions fall beneath the threshold of consciousness, these impressions coming from the outside environment. [...] In other words, into sense data.

There is a significant similarity between sense perceptions that are translations of inner data, and the sense perceptions that take place in dreams, in that both are relatively fleeting. [...]

[...] The physical body often and consistently acts upon subconscious knowledge, but in order to impress consciousness, such information must be carried by some kind of sense impression, whether this be a pseudosense impression, or a more normal one.

[...] They are individually motivated, in a sense loners. [...]

This, again, deepened their intimate sense of relationship with nature, and encouraged their tendency to go along with it, to survive within its context rather than combat it. [...]

[...] A sense of community unity was born, a deep feeling of companionship that had not existed earlier.

[...] The nature of your conscious mind demands change and dramatic meaning, a sense of power, and aspirations against which to judge individual direction. [...]

“As your body senses temperature changes, so it also senses the psychic charge not only of other human beings but also, believe it or not, of animals, and to a lesser extent … of plants and vegetative matter. Your tree builds up a composite of sensations of this sort, sensing not the physical dimensions of a material object, whatever it is, but the vital psychic formation within and about it.
