[...] I spoke rather thoroughly in my last book (The Nature of the Psyche) about the sexuality of your species, but here I want to mention how some of those sexual beliefs affect your behavior.

[...] It is always best to heed them, though the original wound to the psyche occurred to a previous personality.

The psyche knows itself and is aware of its parts. [...]

I have my own existence, that is quite different from Ruburt’s, and yet I also have a reality that is connected to his psyche.⁶ Each of you also have the same kind of connection with other “more knowledgeable” portions of yourself, or your greater identity, that are independently themselves and yet also alive in your psyches. [...] I interpreted the information as Seth’s way of telling us that those lagging portions of Jane’s psyche were now embarked on their journey to catching up with those other portions that were way ahead—meaning that the psychic abilities were the leaders in Jane’ case. [...]

[...] “It’s the sort of thing I think is rooted in Sinful-Self stuff, on both of our parts—you’re not going to feel guilty about the gifts of nature unless those feelings have a pretty strong base in the psyche, somewhere.... [...]

[...] It was because Hitler was so convinced of the existence of evil in the individual psyche, that he set up all of his rules and regulations to build up and preserve “Aryan purity.” [...]

You yourselves, through following your impulses, changed your suggestions, and this was because the flow of experience directed you so that you followed the changes in Ruburt’s psyche. [...]

[...] The human psyche adds its own distortive effects, and it is of these that we have been speaking. [...]

[...] We deeply appreciated Seth’s insights and suggestions about Jane’s and my visible and invisible psyches, the challenges we had chosen to create for ourselves in our present lifetimes. [...]

[...] I would like to make one point here, however — that often psychoanalysis is simply a game of hide-and-seek, in which you continue to relinquish responsibility for your actions and reality and assign the basic cause to some area of the psyche, hidden in a dark forest of the past. [...]

[...] If you find a line of development that you now wish you had pursued, but had not, then think deeply about the ways in which those activities could now fit into the framework of your officially accepted life.² Such musings, with desire — backed up by common sense — can bring about intersection points in probabilities that cause a fresh realignment of the deep elements of the psyche. [...] Man, being a part of that inner world by reason of the nature of his own psyche, automatically has a hand in the creation of those blueprints which at another level he uses as guides.

[...] Especially do I like the fact that Jane’s work, her contribution to our thought, comes out of her psyche unaided by laboratories, statistics, or tests. [...]

[...] We grow momentarily dizzy, dazzled by an inner cosmos of selves and self-versions, and feel that we are traveling through some gigantic psyche that spawns selves the way space spawns stars.”

[...] I serve in many ways as a speaker for your own psyche, however, so the inner message will be from your own greater being to yourself; and at that multidimensional level of reality, I salute you.

[...] We were to learn that the conscious yet intuitive pace of her realizations was carefully meted out by her psyche: just so much at a time. [...]

Yet I also knew that there was more that Seth could have said; that if Jane had allowed herself to cooperate—but hardly surrender—more completely, the creative Seth portion of her psyche could have helped her more. [...]

Instead, I think Seth knew that even though he was—and I’m sure still is—in certain senses a portion of Jane’s psyche, brilliant counterpart that he was and is, he too had in his own way and for his own reasons desires to contend with Jane’s chosen background this time, with her frightened and restricted upbringing and with his obvious advantage of a much more detailed overall knowledge of the life experiences—past, present, and future—involving the three of us. [...] That distance from you also represents the reaches, however, of the human psyche, and the vast corridors of psychological activity from which it is formed, and from which your world emerges.

Often such material deals with material that is very difficult to translate—material that drifts through the psyche, however, to add to your support or knowledge. [...]

[...] I don’t mind noting that I wish she had.² She might have been able to offer insights about it that I couldn’t come up with, especially concerning the seemingly endless abilities of the psyche — call it personalized energy, consciousness, or what-have-you — to travel through its own space and time.

“Assuming that my internal data about those three lives are reasonably correct, it may be, as Jane said recently, that the psyche is so incredibly rich that anything is possible. [...]

[...] All of your concepts of gods and goddesses are basically creative attempts to portray psychological dramatizations of other portions of the psyche that do not appear in the flesh. [...]
