2. Seth’s material about technology and science leading to inner realities reminds me of two related examples that I’ve become aware of recently through my own reading. [...]

(This procedure left me knowing only one thing about the object: that it came from some section of the New York Times, date unknown. [...] If he got any help from me it was telepathy twice removed.

[...] The object was torn by me from pages 11 and 12 of the New York Times’ first news section for Sunday, November 6,1966. [...]

(Jane took from me the sealed double envelopes for our 76th experiment. [...]

[...] January 6, Wednesday, 11:30 AM: Achieved a light trance first, then felt as though my hands were crossed, but knew they weren’t. Extreme sensation of lightness and rising, as if from some pressure beneath me. [...]

[...] This afternoon she told me she thought Seth might talk about the self-conscious inner ego. [...]

(The word was unfamiliar to me and I asked Jane to repeat it. [...]

[...] Recalled writing a poem as a child that I had completely forgotten, and at the time it had seemed tremendous to me. [...]

[...] Jane told me tonight that she didn’t remember seeing Don make it. [...]

Do you have an envelope for me, Joseph?

(Without opening her eyes Jane took the envelope from me for our 49th experiment. [...]

[...] Present besides Jane and me were five witnesses—the Wilburs, the Gallaghers, and Ann Diebler.

[...] I sneezed many times, and Jane paused at intervals to let me catch up on the copy.)

It was the woman’s deep need which would have let me make an exception, and yet I promise you that on no occasion will I try to coerce Ruburt into giving a session. [...]

(Jane delivered the above paragraph quite forcefully, facing me with one foot up on a chair. [...]

The personality is extremely sensitive, it does not take me to see that, and intuitional. [...]

[...] As early as the 14th session, for January 8, 1964, he told us: “To me, time can be manipulated, used at leisure and examined. It is a vehicle … it is therefore still a reality of some kind to me….”

[...] For now simply let me mention that any gods appearing among you must always be of your time, while expressing ideas and concepts that must shoot beyond your time into the future, and serve as psychic stimuli strong enough to effect future changes. [...]

(At 9:42 she took the envelope for our 75th experiment from me and pressed it to her forehead in a horizontal position. [...]

[...] I am saying that the image I see gives me this impression. [...]

[...] This has cropped up before in these experiments also. [Jane’s note: Donna Taylor had shown me the playground for her 1st graders, during my 2nd teaching job.]

[...] Jane was to call me at 9:30. [...] Then a shouting voice, unrecognizable and quite loud off to my left as I lay on the bed, woke me with a start and snapped my head in that direction. [...]

(Then while on my back on bed with eyes closed, I looked up and saw myself standing up directly over me, with my feet seemingly upon my own chest. As I did so, my familiar thrilling sensation swept over me quite strongly.

You have not asked me, and so I did not tell you. [...]

[...] The first time quite strongly appeared when I suggested to myself that I felt light; then it washed over me, and at the same time my arms particularly felt very light, almost weightless.

[...] “Now I’m just waiting for Seth,” she told me. Then: “It’s as though I feel a lot of concepts around me right now, and I’m letting him get them organized for me … But now I think I’m about ready….”

[...] Jane had received three excellent reports on her physical condition this morning, she told me not long after I got to 330. [...]

[...] As I began working with the mail she told me to get my paper ready. [...]

[...] I thought she’d told me earlier that the incident had taken place in hydro. [...]

[...] This time and area still fascinate me. [...] [Perhaps my desire will help make one available to me.] Interesting, then, that I subsequently have the dream involving Debbie, with the Roman captain connections.)

[...] Jane showed me how both elbows have loosened up enough so that she can move her forearms down another inch or so—a good sign, I told her. [...]

[...] Jane told me that after she got back to her room from hydro she had an excellent little experience, something like a waking dream, perhaps: She took some already cooked T-bone steak out of a refrigerator, and started eating it as she walked across a street. [...]

(I should have added earlier that at lunch today Jane had me place the paper container of beef Spanish rice on her belly, so that she could feed it to herself with a spoon, left-handed. [...]

(I didn’t think Seth heard me; there was a burst of traffic noise through our open living room window just as I asked the question. [...]

[...] I sat roughly south of Jane as she faced me, so this meant she indicated the western corner of our living room.)

5. Seth’s statement reminded me of an article I read in a newspaper a few years ago. Actually I’ve never forgotten it because of the negative impression it made upon me; I remember bringing it to Jane’s attention at the time. [...]

(Jane had been in another lackadaisical mood most of the day, yet she’d told me after supper that she wanted to have a session tonight. [...]

[...] but that there were 10,000 back orders for Events, so I’d say that my dream probably gave me that indication, that something was held up. [...]

(At 3:40 Jane asked me to take away her cigarette and the ashtray on her belly. [...]

(Earlier she’d told me that she was both disappointed and impatient with her progress since we’d started this group of sessions on October 9. She’d wanted her decubiti healed in a week, she said, and to be sitting on the edge of the bed by now. [...]
