The lag is partially the result of cues to action. These gradually lose their strength and as the personality, in a better state of mind, is no longer as sensitive to those cues. For a while it is still somewhat more sensitive, for example, to moods or depressions that it would ordinarily sail through. The overall condition has indeed remarkably improved, as I told you, and there is no distortion here.
