[...] She said that while she was delivering the above material on one level, she also received the thought from Seth “on another level” that she should sleep for three-quarters of an hour after supper on session nights. She has reported this dual reception on a few occasions before, and as before she said she was able to give voice to but one level at a time.

(I would like to remind the reader here that when Seth uses the term “area,” he means what up until recently he has called a “level” of the subconscious. Actually, he states, the subconscious is not neatly divided into levels, but is marvelously intertwined, like a labyrinth. [...]

Dreams therefore cannot adequately be understood or probed into on an intellectual level. [...]

There are too many levels here to discuss them all at once. On one level the Psycho-Cybernetics is important also, for it reminds him on the simplest of terms that he can perform better, and reinforces a trust in himself.

In a way, then, the session will continue at another level of communication. [...]

[...] (Long pause.) I told you that at certain levels contradictions would certainly seem to appear, but the us-ness of the self represents an important psychic characteristic. [...]

To some extent, particularly at certain levels, that participation brings about a far greater sense of sympathy and power than adults ever realize, particularly in your cultural times. [...]

Now: Dictation … These idealizations (as discussed in the last session) are certain kinds of psychic patterns, then, occurring at different levels. [...]

A war is one kind of natural event brought about as feelings and beliefs interact on one level. A natural catastrophe represents the same kind of phenomenon at a different level. [...]

[...] You not only form the structure of your civilizations and social institutions through the transference of beliefs, thoughts and feelings; but in this natural exchange you also help on quite intimate levels in the “psychic manufacture” of the physical environment itself, with all of its great sweeping variety, and yet seasonal stability.

You bring into action, physically speaking, those greater powers of your being, and trust certain chores to be taken care of at that vast unconscious level, instead of, as mentioned this evening (in the session proper) working at a trial-and-error basis,

[...] They were at one level, and you are at another level. But at their level, and in their level of experience, they partook of the sacrament of life as they ate those things that they slayed. [...]

Violence, in your level, is the other face of creativity, but you do not realize it and it is you who have set up the separation. [...]

[...] All of those other people are connected to that event in Framework 2 on a nonphysical level, as they are connected on a physical level. Framework 2’s communication system is at once simpler and more complex that Framework 1’s. Just as, say, your intent to paint a picture automatically has your fingers all moving in the proper directions, and your body manipulating properly, so that the desired painting results, so in a larger fashion your clear intent is communicated to each of the people involved—at a level without static—yours or theirs. [...] It is as if—forgive the crossing analogies—the production of the book (pause) is transferred to another level. A living peoplescape in which each person who plays a part in that book’s production now joins the creative act at this secondary level as far as you are concerned. [...]

[...] At Framework-2 levels those people want to produce an excellent book. [...] There is much “static” at that level. [...]

[...] On one level dreams deal with objects and dream images. [...] At deeper levels however in the dream state there is direct experience, and objects are not used.

On all other-than-normally conscious levels, however, you deal very effectively with probabilities. [...]

[...] Sometimes it never touches the hub of your present moment at all, as you think of it, as far as your memory is concerned; yet the dream is, and it is registered at all other levels of your existence, including the cellular.

Now: On a physical level your body reacts to information about the environment with which you are not consciously concerned. [...]

(10:10.) The knowledge of the body’s own biological probabilities takes place at those ancient levels, and at those levels there is activity that results in a cellular communication existing between all species. [...]

These do not involve pictures or words, but are rather like the formations of electromagnetic intent, anticipating action to be taken, and these may then serve as initiators of therapeutic dreams, in which “higher” levels of consciousness are psychologically made aware of certain conditions.

Joseph’s mother is not only alive in another level of reality, but still learning. She is quite aware, therefore, of his decision not to buy the [Markle] house.⁵ In her level of reality, she was aware of the fact that Joseph wanted the house strongly; that one portion of him thought of possessing a large home, even though this would require upkeep and attention that another part of him did not want to provide because he felt it would take too much time from his painting and our work.

[...] When Seth comes through he’s at the same level the material’s at, and he — or I — can then pull it in … It’s as though there’s a store of information there, but I have to go through a door of consciousness to reach it.”

[...] Telepathy does not operate at the level of the ego, although its actions may protrude into the domain of the ego. Telepathy operates within the inner self, within various levels, different levels of the subconscious, where the ideas of separation and limitations of self are not nearly so limiting.

[...] Now: Dreams occur at so many levels of reality that it is quite impossible to describe their true scope. For one thing, that scope includes levels that are consciously unknown to you. [...]

There are dreams of different import, some triggered genetically, that serve as sparks for particular kinds of behavior—dreams, in other words, that literally span the centuries in that regard, coiled latently in the very chromosomes; and no level of consciousness is without some kind of participation in dream states. I can only hope to evoke some feeling within you that is reminiscent of your own actual behavior at those hidden levels of dreaming activity, but they have remained highly pertinent in the development of all species with their environments, keeping the intents and purposes of one alive in the other. Healing also takes place at many different levels of consciousness. (Long pause.) Ruburt’s experience, all in all, touched many of those levels, facilitating the healing processes at each given level. The “boxcar” episode represented his living at one level of physical experience, even while he also existed as the giant-sized self that peered over the mountain top and watched his progress. [...]

[...] The entire episode shows the way that the mind derives new experience through using more than one level of consciousness at any given time. [...]

At cellular levels the world exists with a kind of social interchange, in which the birth and death of cells are known to all others, and in which the death of a frog and a star gain equal weight. But at your level of activity your thoughts, feelings, and intents, however private, form part of the inner environment of communication. [...]

[...] Give us a moment… First of all, the body must be in a state of constant change, making decisions far too fast for you to follow, adjusting hormonal levels, maintaining balances between all of its systems; not only in relationship to itself — the body — but to an environment that is also in constant change. At biological levels the body often produces its own “preventative medicine,” or “inoculations,” by seeking out, for example, new or foreign substances in its environment [that are] due to nature, science or technology; it assimilates such properties in small doses, coming down with an “illness” which, left alone, would soon vanish as the body utilized what it could [of it], or socialized “a seeming invader.”

[...] They all learn through experience, and despite all of your concepts, learning is impossible without imagination at any level.

[...] On his own levels also, Ruburt is (underlined) undergoing rather accelerated healing processes—you might say at microscopic levels.

He did pick up our next chapter heading (six): “Genetic Heritage and Reincarnational Predilections,” and I am trying to give him this other material at different levels. [...]

[...] All of this is connected with the genetic information that any individual receives from the biological bank that belongs to the species at large, and from the inner reincarnational bank.¹ We will see that Ruburt receives the information that he needs at the necessary levels, so that the material can be verbalized. My “work” is not adjacent to the world or parallel exactly but at a different level.... [...] I don’t have to “live up” to anything, I don’t have to “make the material work” or prove through my actions that it does because it proves itself in the way that creativity does, by being beyond levels of true-false references. [...] I’ve felt that I should “push” the material, go on television or whatever to demonstrate and promote it, but that is the “wrong” level for me.... [...]
