There is only a relatively small layer of personal material, and therefore egotistical and distortive material, at the upper reaches of the subconscious. This layer can be quickly recognized, as a rule. [...]

With practice the personal distortive layers of subconscious material could be recognized without difficulty, and even these will give you valuable insights into psychological mechanisms.
