Each species is endowed also, by virtue of the units of consciousness that compose it, with an overall inner picture of the condition of each other species (pause), and further characterized by basic impulses so that it is guided toward choices that best fulfill its own potentials for development while adding to the overall good of the entire world consciousness. [...] In the vast structure of probable activity, however, far more differentiation was still necessary, and this is provided for through the inner passageways of reincarnational existence.

6. By the time the 22nd session was held Seth had mentioned the inner senses upon occasion, but had given us a breakdown on just the first one: Inner Vibrational Touch. Consciously, then, we had no way of appreciating what important and interesting parts those “senses leading to an inner reality” were to play in the material over the years. In Chapter 19 of The Seth Material Jane quoted Seth on the nine inner senses he’s described so far.

[...] That is, he automatically translates inner data given by me into coherent, valid, and faithful camouflage⁵ patterns — into words. [...] Its transference is instantaneous on Ruburt’s part, and is performed through the workings of the mind, the inner senses,⁶ and the brain.

“The entity itself does not have to keep constant check on its personalities, because in each one there is an inner self-conscious part that knows its origin. [...] It is the self-conscious part that receives all inner data.

“… the part that translates inner data sifts it down through the subconscious, which is a barrier and also a threshold to the present camouflage personality. [...] This part receives inner data, is in contact with the entity to some greater degree than you are in contact with your dreams, and actually directs all of the important functions that you think are either automatically or unconsciously controlled.

It goes without saying, or should, that the inner self sends its projections of inner senses through both the physical universe and the dream universe; yet all this talk of space and placement is a mere convenience. [...]

[...] However, those who ask concerning the time of the origin of consciousness within your universe, are those who do not understand that the most minute physical particle, the most microscopic, is a materialization of inner, aware energy.

[...] It is only within your camouflage perspective that this remark appears illogical, but this does not mean that you still cannot grasp some of its meaning, using your own inner experience.

[...] This time, you know intuitively, has no psychological inner relationship to the dream experience.

[...] You use them more efficiently, and for the purposes of the inner self. You begin to create physical matter so that it does indeed reflect the inner self, and in so doing, you effect changes that are noticed by others and serve as an example.

[...] There is every reason to explore inner reality, but this exploration should lead you to understand the nature of physical reality also. [...]

When you have out-of-body experiences, you can become aware of the nature of inner reality more directly.

Through exploring inner reality you are indeed in contact with All That Is. [...]

[...] To some degree historically speaking, that sort of situation operated in the past when — comparatively speaking, now — people realized that there was indeed an inner world of complexity and richness that could be approached in certain fashions, one that existed alongside with the physical world, so that the two intersected. Certain approaches worked in one area, and others worked in the inner reality.

This will allow you to include the feeling of inner, magical “work” into your calculations. [...] In the inner world you or the dog can walk through the door without effort, because desire is action. [...]

In the inner world, your desires bring about their own fulfillment, effortlessly. That inner world, and the exterior one, intersect and interweave. [...]

The inner self alone, at rest, in meditation, can at times glimpse portions of these inner realities that cannot be physically expressed. [...]

[...] But the inner vehemence was always present, the inner fire, and the recognition that he tried for so long to hide.

The third personality of Christ will indeed be known as a great psychic, for it is he who will teach humanity to use those inner senses that alone make true spirituality possible. [...]

(10:27.) In the next century, the inner nature of man, with these developments, will free itself from many constraints that have bound it. [...]

That inner, all-pervasive existence becomes known to the extent that you grow more responsive to your own inner environment. [...] They are as much a part of your inner environment as trees are of your exterior world. [...]

[...] This has been carried to an extreme, you see: Often you are so disconnected from those inner workings that your own decisions then appear to come from someplace else. [...]

(Seth:) ...this was in your inner senses and perceiving a different kind of reality in the same way that you formed what you saw on an unconscious basis, in your terms, so you form the physical matter that forms the room on an unconscious basis. [...]

You have all been exercising your inner sense to one degree or another. [...]

Now you can close your minds to such possibilities, or you can open your imagination and inner perceptions and try to perceive them. [...]

[...] All energy at the inner self’s disposal is then concentrated to bring about the results asked for by the conscious mind.

[...] Contradictory demands and assessments are then sent in to the inner self, which by various methods will try to tell you that something is wrong. [...]

(Pause.) Because ideas and beliefs have this electromagnetic reality, then, constant interplay between those strongly contradictory beliefs can cause great power blocks, impeding the flow of inner energy outward. [...]

The whole point of this of course is trusting the inner self—the source of just about any problem. [...]

[...] It is natural enough to feel blue if you hurt, but this is something different from an overall glum inner climate. [...]

[...] The knower is of course always present, but the part of your culture that is built upon the notion that no such inner knowledge exists, and those foolish ideas of rational thought as the only provider of answers, therefore often limit your own use of inner abilities.

[...] In a fashion the form also represented the innocent and powerful inner self, or spontaneous self, or naturally magical self—the terms are synonymous.

[...] The information, which was nonphysical, was then transformed into practical knowledge either from inner visual imagery by itself, or through the state of dreaming.

[...] Early man was in that same position, and his inventions—his tools, his artistry, and so forth—came into being from the inner, ever-present realm of the mind, triggered by his unconscious but quite real estimation of his position within the universe at large, and in regard to his own environment.

The inner mechanisms that happen prior to your experience will take place in the vast mental studio of Framework 2. There, all the details will be arranged, the seemingly chance encounters, for example, the unexplained coincidences that might have to occur before a given physical event takes place.

[...] You take the details for granted — the breathing, the inner mechanisms of nourishment and elimination, the circulation, and the maintenance of your psychological continuity. [...]

[...] When you are in other than your normally conscious state, you visit that creative inner agency in which all physical productions must have their beginning. [...]

Jane insisted that the notes were important, as a constant reminder to the reader that psychic or inner events happen in the context of daily life. [...] He also stressed that our plan to divide the work was intuitively correct, and based on legitimate inner knowledge. [...]

[...] Such an endeavor essentially involves the pursuit of an ideal, and represents our attempts to give physical and mental shape to the great inner, creative commotion of the universe that each person intuitively feels. Of course Jane and I want Seth’s ideas and our own to touch responsive reflexes within others; then each individual can use the material in his or her own expression of that useful ideal, letting it serve to stimulate inner perceptions.

This present book, Volume 2, goes on from there as Seth creates an intriguing thematic framework, and then invites us to “play along,” to join in and to discover the unknown reality for ourselves through a series of exercises geared to illuminate the inner structures upon which our exterior ones depend.

[...] And each time I achieved it I experienced once more that complete inner and outer, mental and physical, involvement in which time was often significantly negated. [...]

[...] Outer constructions are always translations of actions from inner reality into material. Their validity is dependent upon the individual’s ability to receive inner data, to translate inner data, to manipulate energy, and to construct it onto the material field.

[...] Therefore the construction was only seen by the one person to whom the inner clues were given. The construction was then formed, more or less in faithful replica to the inner data received by Mark.

The inner senses are an attribute of consciousness. [...]
