Now: in a way the mystic’s goals are eternal—that is, they involve comprehensions sought for whose validity is in important ways independent of historical time, even though the comprehensions may be couched in certain frameworks.

This private multidimensional self, or the soul, has then an eternal validity. [...]

Seth first mentioned The Nature of Personal Reality in Session 608, April 5, 1972, only shortly after Rob and I had finished reading proofs for his previous book, Seth Speaks: The Eternal Validity of the Soul. He actually began dictation on April 10, 1972, but our personal reality was suddenly disturbed when we were caught in the flood caused by Tropical Storm Agnes. [...]

The next chapter will deal with the eternal validity of dreams as gateways into these other realities, and as open areas through which the “inner self” glimpses the many facets of its experience and communicates with other levels of its reality.

[...] Your so-called scientific, so-called objective experiments can continue for an eternity, but they only probe further and further with camouflage instruments into a camouflage universe.

These sessions represent what you might call previews of eternity, in that you are to some extent receptors of thought that is not hampered by time, and of a companionship that has not ceased with the stirring of the centuries, and with a valid emotional relationship that has escaped the camouflage aspect of physical reality.
