These idea camouflage patterns represent important if nonmaterial structures, and we will refer to them as idea camouflage structures from now on, since they are basic frameworks that control the actual physical camouflage patterns, and even supervise for you the extent to which such physical patterns can be constructed.

[...] This is why, for example, you are hampered even in your physical constructions by the idea structures of time that you have erected.

[...] You are obsessed with the theory of beginning and end, because in your situation your camouflage constructions seem to have a beginning and an end.

[...] And without the unconscious and constant use of the inner senses you could not even construct your precious camouflage patterned universe.

I would like to discuss some material that we have left unfinished, making certain that you understand that there are chemical and electrical reactions resulting from mental enzymes, that are also present in the process of constructing psychic energy into physical construction.

[...] For simplicity’s sake you may say that ideas are electric, in that they spark enzymes within the mechanism, that then automatically begin the work of physical construction, in line with inner expectations as outlined earlier.

Then, I want to be sure that you realize that some of these constructions that you will encounter will belong to another system. They will not be your own constructions. [...]

[...] Your ordinary standards of reality mean absolutely nothing when you leave the physical system, therefore you will encounter, simultaneously perhaps, images that are subconsciously formed; quite valid images that belong in another dimension; constructions created by others within another system; and for any control at all, you must learn how to distinguish one from the other.

Molecular construction is formed from the inside, and is not rigid. On your plane such construction and such electronic and atomic patterns, frameworks and fields, are rigid to a degree, but even on your plane there is constant and apparent change. [...]

[...] Without this sixth sense, and without its constant use by the inner self-conscious ego, you could not even construct the physical camouflage universe of your own plane. This sense, again, is used constantly beneath the outer ego’s awareness, and forms the basis for camouflage constructions on every plane.

And when I go more thoroughly into the actual manner in which man constructs his universe, this material will be a basic starting point. [...]

[...] Again, however, Framework 2 is not neutral, but automatically inclined toward what we will here term good or constructive developments. [...] Constructive or ‘positive’ feelings or thoughts are more easily materialized than ‘negative’ ones because they are in keeping with Framework 2’s characteristics.”

The rational mind alone, as it is presently used (because it is a rather artificial construct, a function given prominence), can never understand the dream measurements that you undertook in order to come up with the Brenner dream.⁵

[...] Briefly and very simply, Seth maintains that Framework 2, or inner reality, contains the creative source from which we form all events, and that by the proper focusing of attention we can draw from that vast subjective medium everything we need for a constructive, positive life in Framework 1, or physical reality.”

Your imaginations and emotions must be utilized constructively, and not to prolong the effects. [...]

[...] Earlier Ruburt’s beliefs behind the body beliefs causing the difficulty affected him in such a way that he picked up from others those moods and feelings that agreed with him, so often constructive body messages could not get through. [...]

[...] Constructive thoughts do not simply affect the system for good in some sort of a generalized fashion, nor do destructive thoughts simply happen to affect the system directly.

Still speaking of dreams, Seth says: “Energy projected into any kind of construction, psychic or physical, cannot be recalled, but must follow the laws of the particular form into which it has been for the moment molded. Therefore, when the dreamer contracts his multi-realistic objects backward, ending for himself the dream he has constructed, he ends it for himself only. [...]

Certain sounds are verbal replicas of molecular constructions, put together by you to form sentences in the same way, for example, that molecules are put together to form cells and tissue.

Here, as opposed to the apartment, where the life-styles were seemingly in a more transitory situation, you have both again dramatized yourselves to some degree as outsiders in a negative fashion, disapprovingly seeing yourselves in relationship to your neighbors, but not constructively. You could instead have stressed your positive and constructive differences, for your move to the neighborhood, again, to some extent—excuse the constant qualifying—your move has helped the neighbors see themselves in a different light.

This summer, you compared your way of life with those polarized ideas, with the way of life of the construction men, for example. [...]

When I came to, I found myself scrawling what was obviously meant as the title of that odd batch of notes: The Physical Universe As Idea Construction. Later the Seth Material would develop those ideas, but I didn’t know that at the time. [...]
