Now certain chemical changes must come about in the physical organism before projection can occur. Were it not for these you would still be imprisoned within the corporeal image. You know that dreaming has definite chemical bases, that chemicals built up during periods of waking existence are released through dreams. Not only are they released but they form a propelling action that allows energy to flow in the opposite direction. As chemical reactions allow the body to utilize energy and form physical materializations, so the excess built up then becomes a propelling force, allowing action to flow in what you would term subjective directions.

These chemical excesses are a natural byproduct of consciousness that is bound up in physical materialization. The more intense the characteristic experience of reality, the greater the chemical excess that is built up. Consciousness itself, when physically oriented, burns up chemicals. The more intense the individual the hotter the fire, so to speak, and the greater the chemical excesses that must be released.

Now where the ego operates you will always find chemical repercussions; to some extent or another then the physical body will be involved. Deeper or less familiar portions of the self exist without a chemical manifestation. These usually take electromagnetic forms to some degree however.

Now in the drug situation the state of consciousness desired is brought about by altering chemical properties. [...] Consciousness must stay out, you see, until the chemical situation has changed.

[...] In the case of drugs however the chemical framework might delay such a return until it was too late.

The chemicals you see alter the system that you inhabit, as well as your own perceptions of it. [...]

Excess of chemicals within the body are drained off by the subconscious through its ability to act as a channel between fields of actuality. The chemicals are sent as projections into other fields which need such chemicals. [...]

[...] Energy may not be properly directed toward releasing from the physical field of the body excess chemicals into other fields. A buildup of such chemicals can be deadly, leading to among other things forms of insanity, schizophrenia, and other disorders which show themselves in mental or personality symptoms.

It is possible to treat such disorders from a chemical standpoint, as is sometimes being done, but the acquired artificial chemical balance will in most cases not be maintained, because the inner self, the deep subconscious, has not been signaled that an error is being made. [...]

Dream images are composed in part as a result of chemical excesses that are built up normally by the organism in the waking state. Physical materializations are built up by bringing about this condition of excessive chemical action.

It is true that a state can be produced in which such materializations can occur, by artificially producing the chemical imbalance necessary. [...]

There are chemical and electrical connections that cannot be ignored here. For a dream has a chemical reality and an electrical reality. It is built up, on one level, of chemical components that have an electrical basis, and it is through these connections that transformation within the nerve structure of the physical organism is made.

Such suggestions will serve to protect the integrity of the physical organism, for these suggestions also have an electrical reality and a chemical reality, as your fear of cats has a chemical and an electrical reality that forces you to act within that framework.

The swelling has to do with a chemical that encouraged in certain parts of the body only a retention of fluid, and this was aggravated by beer consumption, and also by the drinking of whole milk.

If chemical alteration were made in Augustus Two he would return to the Augustus One personality, but the change would be artificial — not permanent, and possibly quite dangerous.

It is well known that emotions have a chemical reality, but it is not generally realized that dreams also have the same sort of property. Telepathy is indeed affected by chemical reactions, as dreams are.

All such projections have an electromagnetic and chemical reality that has its origin within the field of the given personality. [...]

Emotional outbursts or reactions do cause chemical conditions, and certain chemical conditions can facilitate such communications. However, it is a fact that as a rule the communications cause the chemical reactions rather than the other way around.

On a particular level however this makes little difference, because such communications are carried on constantly at subconscious levels, seldom reaching ego awareness, so that individuals are subconsciously conditioned—and underline subconsciously conditioned—therefore expecting, all unknown to the ego, such communications when certain chemical changes come about; since these chemical changes also occur for other reasons when these conditions occur, on a practical level communications will then most easily happen. These chemical changes without the proper subconscious focus point, will result in clairvoyance or telepathy strong enough on some occasions to be conscious. [...]

[...] In so-called higher forms, the chemical process itself allows for the creation of an ordinary image. This brings about further thermal responses and chemical alterations, that allow the thought processes to proceed.
