With your outer senses, you perceive but the camouflage physical reality which the physical senses are equipped to perceive. [...]

The brain, because of its purpose and its close connection to camouflage manipulation, does not have a primary existence within the electrical universe, although it has a secondary existence within it because of its connection to the purely electrical mind.

You do experience time, but not time as it is bound by your camouflage patterns. [...]

[...] The outer ego must concentrate much of its energy toward survival in and manipulation of the outer camouflage world. [...]

[...] In prehistoric times, mankind evolved the ego to help him deal with camouflage patterns that he had, himself, created. [...] The inner senses led him into a reality he could not manipulate as easily as he could physical camouflage, and he feared what he thought of as a loss of mastery.

Yet all of these have inner knowledge of the reality that exists within all camouflage and that composes any reality, by whatever name it is called.

“As their instruments reach farther into the universe they will ‘see’—and I suggest that you put the word ‘see’ into quotes—they will ‘see’ farther and farther, but they will automatically transform what they apparently ‘see’ into the camouflage patterns with which they are familiar. [...]

[...] In other words, consciousness without camouflage, for the characteristics that I use are camouflage, beloved camouflage perhaps; but without them you would not understand what I am saying, and without them in yourselves, you would not learn to recognize the self that you can be. [...]

[...] The fact is that the realization can, and often does, come after the play is well under way, and at this point, the camouflage action is so involved that the realization itself appears in the framework of the camouflage and is often indistinguishable from it. [...]

[...] Their purpose, of course, is to enable the conscious personality to recognize as valid, camouflage patterns that are only valid under certain conditions. …

Since this period was to some degree at least free of camouflage, from it communication can be received dealing with the entity’s knowledge of itself, and of uncamouflaged reality. From this undifferentiated gap of experience between camouflage existences, valuable information may be received dealing with the reality which exists behind, and independent of, matter.

Communications that give valid information concerning the reality beneath the camouflage world must be attained through one of the separating layers between lives.

[...] I have mentioned before that beneath camouflage the fifth dimension is truly transparent. [...]

[...] This involves definitely a change of focus, and willingness to momentarily detach the abilities of both the intellect and the intuitions from familiar camouflage reference points.

It is not closed entirely but nevertheless it could be said to approximate in psychic terms the enclosure within which your so-called mediums work; that is, with a minimum of camouflage communication at hand.

The problem is not only to receive data through the inner senses in an undistorted, coherent manner, but also to translate this into the particular camouflage patterns with which you are familiar. [...]

Seth began by saying that physical time was a camouflage.

[...] Any appearance of enclosure is the result of camouflage distortions, quite necessary within a given system so that the organisms within it can focus their main attentions to the problems within a particular system.

Since the outer senses or their equivalent are the main perceptors of camouflage constructions, then the outer senses and the physical apparatus or its equivalent will habitually perceive its particular system as a closed one.

… the so-called laws of your camouflage physical universe do not apply to the inner universe … However, the laws of the inner universe apply to all camouflage universes … Some of these basic laws have counterparts known and accepted in various camouflage realities.

6. Perhaps I should have briefly discussed it in Volume 1, but ever since Seth originally gave his “Joe, Jane, Jim, and Bob” material (as I call it) in the 683rd session, I’ve wondered about possible connections between the probabilities described in that session and our own reality: How much of our species’ distorted, intuitive knowledge of those probable realities may appear as myth and oddity in our camouflage universe? [...]

It is really a building up of idea into a whole pattern that can be perceived by the camouflage senses. [...]

The inner senses, by being free of camouflage information, are more or less (in quotes) “pure” perceptors, perceiving with but little prejudice of many realities while being imprisoned by none.

[...] They are given much more, for example, to ideas rather than to the various camouflage realities within systems. Many groups, you see, deal exclusively with the camouflage reality between systems, with building it up, with its maintenance.

[...] And in that respect, they are initiators, say, of a particular camouflage system. But they are not those who continually nourish that camouflage system. [...]

[...] Seth calls the universe as we know it a “camouflage” system, since physical matter is simply the form that vitality—action—takes within it. Other realities are also camouflage systems, and within them consciousness also has specialized equipment tailored to their peculiar characteristics. But the Inner Senses allow us to see beneath the camouflage.

“Here you will find the innate knowledge concerning the creation of the camouflage universe as you know it, the mechanics involved, and much of the material I have given you. [...]

[...] Any personalities, any entities, that do enter your physical plane must use some camouflage material if they are to be physically perceived. [...]
