[...] The body does not just randomly mirror beliefs, but literally and quite systematically brings them into flesh. A wrist is not held frozen because of one belief only, but because of a belief that is composed of many small components. [...]

Jane was so much at ease tonight that she thought of skipping the session, but she decided to try for it because she’d picked up material on it from Seth today, and made a few notes. [...] But I feel him around. I guess I’ll start in a minute, but it’s amazing to me….”

Beyond certain levels it is almost meaningless to speak in terms of particles, but I will for now use the term “invisible particles” because you are familiar with it. [...] And the invisible particles of which I speak not only possess consciousness—but each one is, if you will, a seed that contains within itself a potential for an infinite number of gestalts. [...]

[...] She finished Chapter 17 today, and wrote in her journal after supper: “Very very very good on Chapter 17—oodles of new insights! Pleased!” She envisions at least another half dozen chapters for the book, but at the same time she’s leaving final decisions up to her creative self. [...]

[...] I am not speaking of the usual time concepts, of course, of consecutive moments, but of a certain dimension of activity in which your space happens.

(I was relieved that it wasn’t my mother, but my reasoning was cold-blooded. [...] Then relief when it wasn’t her death, but someone else’s.

The healing process continues, but he is trying to keep track of it too closely, and concentrating upon its progress. He is not concentrating upon the symptoms—but he is trying to watch his progress with too heavy a hand, if he will forgive the murky analogy.

[...] At 3:30 she started to read the session material from the last two days, but had considerable trouble doing so. She finally finished the part of the session for the day before yesterday, but by then couldn’t manage yesterday’s material, so I laid aside the mail and read it to her. [...]

[...] Her Seth voice was good, but not all that loud. The door to 330 was half-open, but I didn’t even get up to close it before Seth came through. [...]

[...] The pizza was delicious, but it turned out that the wings were prepared with a hot sauce, meaning hot peppers, that not everyone could enjoy, Jane and I among them. [...]

[...] A reddish welt had risen on Jane’s back as a result of the prolonged pressure, but she began to feel better immediately I discovered what had happened. [...]

(Jane had no idea of the material for the session as time for it approached, but she was not nervous as she was last session. [...] Her voice was rather quiet, but clear, and she spoke at a comfortable rate without undue pauses.)

[...] But these evidences are not recognized for what they are, attempts being made to the contrary to fit these into the framework of conventional knowledge, where indeed they fit but poorly.

[...] The mind, having its existence within the scope of the physical field but independent of it, is a much more fruitful subject for study; and not of course study through means of physical instruments or of operations performed. [...]

[...] The mind deals with intangibles, but it does not deal with unrealities. [...]

[...] Imagine then the inner vitality being some cosmic sphere, but a sphere of more dimensions than you can imagine. Its motion could be called action, but this is deceptive because action is the basic nature of the sphere itself. But ego’s seeming independence from action is basically meaningless, since ego is also action, and can never be otherwise. [...] Any one dimension must result in another dimension, for the action within any given dimension can never complete itself, but will continue.

(To me, at least the checked-out information in the first part was excellent; the correct town and state, initials, the point about the second child—Barb just said yes, yes; but didn’t explain; and there was something else. [...] I was too upset and Rob was too worried about me to pick up such precise information—but will be curious as to whether or not any good points were given during the second, more charged segment.

Effects which appear within your system, discernible by your instruments but without form in some, indeed many cases, represent speeds and velocities of activities or acts that actually have their origin from without your system; but because of their different speed and velocity they can travel through your system, and of course making their impression upon it.

(As usual in such interesting cases, I could have asked many questions, but settled by seeking to learn whether dreams could be simultaneous; offhand I did not recall ever reading whether such a possibility had been dealt with by investigation. [...]

[...] Though, as I said, I didn’t think of her Sinful Self as something entirely separate from other portions of her personality, but as a part of them. [...] There are many fascinating but serious questions here. [...]

[...] When Ruburt left that system intellectually some of the old bonding power remained, the emotional glue, but he no longer believed in the indulgences, the sacraments and so forth, so the Sinful Self was left fairly isolated, still believing to some extent that to “be good” it must be bad, but without the releases of guilt once provided by churchly help and belief. You finally began to realize that I wanted you to leave the job (long pause at 9:55), but the negative attitudes that had built up attached themselves to the new projects—something I did not foresee. [...] We went to Key West with the idea of possibly spending our last week there, but found prices too high for us, at least on such short notice. [...]

[...] I thought that probably the feelings should be allowed to come out violently, but we were inhibited by our surroundings, and probably fear, etc. [...]

The vibrator is of definite value, but would be useless, you see, without his own decision and understanding. [...] But beyond this, Miss Cunningham’s present personality has been gently disentangling itself from this plane of reality — and she simply did not remember him.

Viruses serve many purposes, as I have said before.¹ The body contains all kinds of viruses, including those considered deadly, but those are usually not only harmless, or inactive, but beneficial to the body’s overall balance.

[...] (The kittens had the same mother, but had come from successive litters.) I was 44 and Jane was 34, and in conventional terms both of us were still struggling—not only to learn about ourselves and the world, but to find our creative ways in that world. [...]

Tonight’s session isn’t book dictation, but the large portions of it I’m presenting convey useful insights into our social behavior and social health—and as I show in Note 1, those states can include our interactions with animals.

When Jane began the session her voice was a bit rough and very quiet, but by listening closely I could understand Seth well enough.)

[...] You see him in but one stage of development. [...] He has learned his ABC’s, but that is all. [...]

[...] A nuclear weapon in the hands of the inhabitants of Middle-Age Europe would have been used almost immediately, and with nary a qualm, to wipe out all but Christendom. Christendom may well have perished along with the rest of the world, but this possibility would not have been considered, so narrow and evilly self-righteous were the governing powers at the time.

[...] Such massive liberations of energy will be used, but not in your lifetimes, to begin to unify the whole planet in peace. This will not happen before disasters also occur, but when it does happen it will represent the first time within the planet’s history when there was peace with equality for all.

[...] But we will not be concerned with them this evening. This original system of which I have spoken will at least be theorized shortly, but the idea will not be taken seriously enough to cause any deep controversy.

[...] Jane spoke for some little time in a repetitious voice, as a way of inducing a relaxed state within us, but no phenomena of any kind appeared. [...] We had been using our recorder earlier but were not recording these monotonous inductions, and as will be seen this was a mistake on my part.

(This of course startled our guests, but they listened without interruption. [...] Her eyes remained closed now however, but she spoke much more rapidly and gestured often.

[...] Seth said I had not known Lee Wright before, but that I had been “involved” with Judy in a past life. [...] This reminded me that Seth had given similar data for our friend Bill Macdonnel; he too had been a sailor in a Denmark contemporary existence, but as I recall I did not ask Seth whether Judy and Bill had known each other in that life. [...]

[...] For his own development he chose to make up, because of a past lack of sensitivity, because of a certain exhilaration felt in those days in cruelty, and because in those days his emotions held no sway, but what he considered cold reason led him on. But this reasoning, divorced from emotions led him into his own betrayal.

[...] That is, the fifth dimension appeared infinite in its complexity, but you see that it is but one dimension within an infinite number of dimensions. [...]

[...] This is not the fault of the subconscious, but a fault of the ego, which refuses to assimilate or accept a given action. [...] All the qualities that make up the ego are objectified to that degree, but they are collected about the ego with the ego as center. [...]

The hope and the possibilities here, as well as some of the dangers, lie in the fact that the ego does indeed change, and is not one specific reality but a series or group of actions, with direction, that have the potentiality for unlimited value fulfillment. [...] Possibilities for development here are very great, but most such possibilities lie still in the future, and only, so far, as possibilities. [...]

[...] I know this is silly, but felt scared that if lower part of body was dissolved; and all that was left was chest and shoulder and head region, then I would just fall down; a chest, shoulders, and head on street. Didn’t think I was going to do this; but the image popped into my head. By this time, worried to some degree but still enjoying the delightful...suspension...looked from Walnut Street through yards, to my own windows that showed through trees. [...]

[...] I knew your reluctance, but you see I did not truly appreciate considerations that were strong with you, and as you recall I did not come through. But this was in deference to you and Ruburt personally. [...]

[...] During lunch very slight but noticeable lightness in wrists and hands. Mentioned it, but didn’t think it at all important. [...]

But in this next session, I spoke for Seth for a longer time than I had before. [...] But I didn’t like this insistence upon reincarnation at all. [...] “But the reincarnational part is probably fantasy. Delightful, but fantasy.”

[...] IN A SENSE, ALL THINGS COULD BE CALLED FRAGMENTS … but the words were piling up in my head, and after the first few sentences were spelled out, I felt that sense of diving down into the unknown, of letting go. [...] “But there are different kinds. [...]

[...] Certainly something significant had happened that night, but had we actually materialized the physical images of our hidden fears? [...] Or was the explanation psychologically and symbolically valid, but practically a lot of nonsense?

Almost immediately I heard the words in my head, as before, but I insisted on starting with the board. [...]

[...] He climbed through belief systems with an unerring sense of direction, but as he toppled one there was always another. [...] But that world of beliefs also was found highly limiting. [...]

[...] It has its biological aspects, of course; but war, for example, is not a biological culmination of an aggressive instinct (period).

[...] Once you are born into a particular time and country, you do grow up in an almost invisible but definite environment of concepts, assumptions, and predetermined ideas that serve as a basis from which your own individual beliefs spring. [...]

[...] And for some time he felt it to be a framework in which man could discover the truth about himself, and his relationship with the universe—but always there was the hope that some established system was there someplace. [...]
