The girl will not be involved in an airplane accident. The boy is using daydreams concerning Australia to avoid facing present problems. There will be a return to Australia, but not for some time. (Long pause.) Ruburt is bothered by traffic this evening, and it interferes. I do not want to attempt information on the friends in California until conditions are better. There is however uneasiness, as you know, in the family, and the boy operates in such a manner that he picks up the inner feelings of the others, and is left to handle them as best he can. The mother is more important in the family group than our friends realize.
In a strange manner she holds the family together, simply because they unite so strongly against her. Without this they would be less united. A rather delicate psychological gestalt operates with the family as a whole. The father actually is not the uniting principle here, but the feeling against the mother, at this time.
There are reasons for this of course that can be discussed if our friends request it or desire it at another time.
