(Jane now took a long pause.)

(When Jane resumed, still seated and with her eyes closed, her pace was somewhat faster than it had been in previous tests. She used some pauses however, and I will indicate a few of them along with a couple of strategic times. She sat quietly, with her head tipped back as she spoke. Resume at 10:05.)

There is an impression of an incident that occurred, of interest to Dr. Instream, in the middle of this week, possibly around Wednesday, that was unpleasant. (Pause.) Involving someone else, but with some connection to Dr. Instream.

As to now, I see him in connection with a railing, of steel or wood. A letter of interest to him that arrived yesterday or today, from a place with high grasses. (Pause.)

A variety of shapes such as packages. String of a twine type. I believe he received some bad news this week, and suffered some indisposition. A telephone may be ringing at this moment (pause, at 10:10) in his immediate environment.

There is a conversation concerning a schedule, and an automobile ride. He is I believe also thinking of an incident in his past. (Pause.)

(As before, Jane’s “moment” was actually very brief, much shorter than many of her routine pauses. It was now that I was quite conscious of traffic noise. Jane’s voice remained quiet.)

A design repeated, as of blocks. An impression of a journey by automobile. (Pause.) A date, perhaps 1965. (Pause.) R. B. And another, and the impression of a road or a path, or of lines suggesting a road or a path.

Black and white (pause) having to do with a particular circumstance, and initials and many designs. A fuzzy sort of paper, and a smooth one.

I seem to pick up a connection with Christmas or Christmas tree, though I believe this is indirectly connected rather than directly; and something dark of rectangular shape, and also again of a border (pause) and something shady, and a sky symbol.
