[...] After our rest period, Seth resumed, to answer some other questions, but he ended the last discussion with a smile for “the Dean”: “Now, the seasons come each year as they have come for centuries upon your planet, and they come with a magnificent spontaneity and with a creativity that bursts upon the world. [...]

[...] He also suggests that we simply ask the inner self to make the answer available on a conscious basis. [...]

[...] Jane said we could have “just a question-and-answer Seth book”—one made up of just those ingredients, without the formal session format. [...]

This will be a brief session, and unless you have other comments I will try to answer two or three of your questions at a time in the sessions immediately following. [...]

Did I answer your last question sufficiently?

(Seth then briefly answered a couple of personal questions.)

[...] (Pause.) They believe that their search for answers, however, justifies almost any means, or sacrifices, not only on their parts but on the parts of others. [...]

[...] I will give you the answers to your questions, but they are not the way to solve your problem—and against all conventional knowledge, reviewing the mistakes of the past does not lead to wisdom.

[...] I might add that I don’t think I for one believe any longer that worrying is the answer to very much, as Seth says Jane and I still believe, nor do I think that fear is going to act as a stimulus to positive action. [...]

[...] So there are answers that I cannot give you, for they are not known anywhere in the system in which we have our existence. [...]

“Prayer contains its own answer, and if there is no white-haired kind old father-God to hear, then there is instead the initial and ever-expanding energy that forms everything that is and of which each human being is a part.

[...] All of these questions follow naturally, and should be here answered.

[...] After answering the first one Jane paused, and I asked the next question without waiting too long. [...]

[...] Surely then the question answers itself.

[...] Jane broke off her dictation; not knowing exactly what to do we answered the door.

[...] He still wants to know if I am part of his subconscious—and I must admit I do find such an idea appalling—and he wants his answers given to him in a manner which his conscious mind can understand. This is our 24th session, and I am still trying to give you the answers.

[...] The flower — calling back to the bulb, urging it “ahead” and reminding it of its (probable future) development — is like a future self in your terms, or a more highly advanced self, who has the answers and can indeed be quite practically relied upon. [...]
