[...] Seth came through right away. [...]

(The scientist Seth referred to is a professor of physics Jane heard from early last month. He’d posed some intriguing questions about Seth’s ideas of the “true” nature of the universe, and in the nonbook session for April 30 [the 849th], Seth had given a few paragraphs of material in a partial answer.)

(It’s almost as though there’s an unspoken agreement among Jane, Seth and me — but starting with the 846th session, which was held over a month ago [on April 4], Seth has been dictating material for Mass Events on Wednesday evenings only.)

(“Good evening, Seth.”)

[...] Now Seth came through with a little information for Jane and me, then ended the session at 10:45 P.M. “When the session started I had no idea at all that he was going to talk about Hitler and Germany,” Jane said. [...]

[...] During the evening Jane felt that Seth could have easily come through, but in the interests of our experiment she did not allow him to. Seth accepted her decision, she told me at the time, gracefully and did not make any effort to go against her wishes.)

(“Good evening, Seth.”)

[...] Jane was dissociated as usual for a first break, and was somewhat surprised that Seth broke his delivery so soon. [...]

(Again Seth was very amused.)

(“Good evening, Seth.”)

(In the 444th session also, Seth deals with Jane-Ruburt at length. [...]

(Here Seth refers to a painting I began yesterday, in line with approach two of the suggestions he gave me in the last, 456th session, I am following his suggestions and they are working well.)

[...] Jane came out of trance rather quickly; her eyes remained dark, her manner subdued, and she said: “Yeah, I’m pretty Seth yet, but I’m also conscious of that music.” [...]

(As Seth, Jane picked up a copy of Personal Reality from the coffee table. A reader had sent it to us, asking for Seth’s autograph. Seth had never signed a book before—but did so now with a flourish, using a red felt-tip pen.)

[...] Andrija recorded Jane, Seth, and Sumari—all of which saw Jane coming through at her best. [...] Tonight I asked that Seth at least comment upon the visit, since I had the feeling it marked a turning point for us as far as our attitudes went; about meeting others, etc.

[...] I told Jane about my “hunch” immediately after the call; hence, long before her very successful voicing of Seth, Sumari, etc. [...]

(I also asked that Seth comment on Jane’s teeth, and on the “bug,” or whatever, that I’d been really bothered by for the last two weeks. [...]

[...] After an hour or so of this, Jane decided to call on Seth. [...]

[...] What follows is a reasonably accurate reconstruction of Seth’s material. [...]

[...] Jane finally switched on a light, saying that Seth was gone.

(I had thought Seth would stay, to say something about why results had not been good, but Jane said the session was over. [...]

(After the last session, which was held six days ago now, I realized I’d forgotten to ask Seth a question that had been on my mind for some weeks: I wanted his comments on Jane’s swollen feet. [...]

[...] Certainly her paper is extremely creative, including insights also as it does about her relationship with Seth.

(“Thank you, Seth.” [...]

[...] Without Seth’s help, in some detail after break, we were greatly puzzled by the data. [...] Since we could pick out a few items in the data that seemed to apply to the object, we took it that Seth had correctly tuned in on the object itself, and that Jane’s translation of the data had been distorted most of the time. [...] The rest is cleared up by Seth after break. [...]

[...] My fourth question asked Seth to name the object. [...] According to Seth after break his data was legitimate as given to Jane, but was distorted by her.

[...] The results of the experiment were quite unusual, and Seth goes into the mechanisms involved.

[...] Jane then stated that she felt Seth’s presence and that we could have a session if we wanted one. We decided to see what developed, wondering about what help if any Seth could offer in such a situation.

[...] Seth was very serious as he relayed the above information through Jane.)

(It will be remembered that many times now Seth has referred to my being a landowner in Denmark, in Triev, in the 1600’s.

(John asked Seth a question about this statement. Seth replied: )

(John questioned Seth here about the triangles mentioned early in the data, and above. [...] He said he remembered the information Seth was giving him. [...]

[...] Seth has given John the entity name of Philip, and so addresses him.

([John & RFB:] “Good evening, Seth.”)

[...] If Seth came through, I said, I’d like him to comment on her reading difficulties, the dreams, and the two leg wounds. [...]

[...] Her Seth voice wasn’t loud, but it had a lot of quiet energy and a deeper tone that I could feel quite noticeably. [...]

(No sooner had I made my comments about being interrupted during a Seth session than it happened: Carol knocked on the door then came in. [...]

[...] But Jane asked me to read her Seth’s last sentence, then she went back into trance.)

(Seth referred to this bewildering multiplicity very early in the sessions, and dealt with it rather extensively in the 12th session of January 2,1964, in his first explanation of what he calls the fifth dimension. He has told us we could never cover even a portion of the numberless fields bordering even our own; some will be explained as they impinge upon our own in various ways; Seth also has mentioned his own ability to travel through a few other fields. [...]

[...] She said Seth could have continued in this vein, but stopped because the usual tests were due. Seth had the next thought or concept waiting, Jane said, and all she had to do was give voice to it.

[...] The data contain references to both slips, although Seth or Jane did not identify them as such, or refer to the fact that there were two test objects, as I had hoped. Jane said that during the test she was not sure of the source of information, Seth or herself.

(On page 177 of the last session Seth mentioned a recent vision of mine, and promised to discuss it further this evening. [...]

[...] Seth here evidently refers to a different name this time than that shown on the bill, Glenn M. Schuyler. Jane is subjectively sure Seth was getting at the name of Mrs. Marilyn Wilbur, who lives with her husband Don in Wellsburg; the Wilburs are good friends of ours. [...]

[...] Jane wanted me to be sure to ask Seth about the cat in case that personality failed to mention it voluntarily.

(We made our own connections and Seth verified some of them. [...]

[...] We had no opinion particularly, beyond remembering that according to Seth the whole question of the race of man and its origins, and doubts concerning theories of evolution, was vastly more complicated than was generally believed. Seth’s ideas of time give us quite a different approach to these ideas also.

The pyramids, the huge boulders etched out (I think Seth refers here to Baalbek; I didn’t interrupt to ask), all of this was done in one way or another through the use of, a knowledge of, both coordination points in space (described by Seth in his own book) and the use of sound. [...]

(By coincidence—?—Seth’s book has just come back to us from Prentice-Hall for us to go over the copy editor’s suggestions before it is set in galleys, which we will see in April. [...]

[...] She thought of Seth’s statements in the 104th session, concerning a sale that “has developed,” and wondered just what the statement meant. [...] She then received from Seth, mentally, a firm statement repeating that a sale has developed. [...]

(Around suppertime Saturday when we were again discussing the matter of interpretation of prediction data, Jane again felt Seth nearby. [...]

(Seth has touched upon this subject before. [...]

[...] Jane said Seth gave this bit of test data because we ourselves had had trouble making a nearby steep hill in our own car, also this month. Seth dealt with our own car troubles in the 222nd session. [...]

(As soon as the session ended Jane said she did indeed remember seeing Dr. Colucci as soon as Seth mentioned that she would. [...] Seth was quite amused in giving this information.)

[...] Seth goes over much of tonight’s test data, but in order to avoid mixing my notes with his I’ll give the usual interpretations Jane and I made first.

[...] During the long layoff Jane and I worked on Seth’s book, editing, rewriting notes, etc. [...] Jane called the publisher today, and learned that The Seth Material is due in paperback probably in January, with Seth’s own book to be published next October.

[...] I am aware, for example, of your Seth and of your Seth II. [...]

(Jane said she finally became aware of “half-formed words, or something like that,” from Seth, as we waited for the session to begin. [...]

(From September 7 until 19 Jane and I were on a radio and television tour of seven cities, to publicize Jane’s book, The Seth Material. We found the experience stimulating and educational; Seth spoke on television in Boston, and was very well received.

[...] I told her that, according to Seth, each personality making up an entity could manifest itself physically as often as it chose to. Seth then interrupted us at 11:40.)

[...] Now with this work taken care of, Jane was eager for Seth to resume work on his book.

[...] Then Seth uses what I get in the material … Okay: I guess I’m about ready.” [...]

[...] I added that I didn’t think she need worry about readers following Seth’s material — that certainly many others are just as curious as we are about where “Unknown” Reality is going.
