[...] However, I confessed to Jane, I couldn’t say that I really expected her to produce both the book itself; through Seth, and then do all the work involved in writing the notes too — yet as it turned out, to some extent she did help me annotate this work.

(I told her that I didn’t care if the book was short, medium, or long — or whether it took six months to produce, or a year, or five years: If she held one or two sessions a week, or one a month, it would still give her a book in the works, and she would have that comforting knowledge. [...]

[...] He gave Jane the excellent news that wherever he went the Seth books were known, and that Jane truly was changing our society through her work. [...]

(Certainly the Richard Bach-Eleanor Friede affair is reactivating a probability that was available, of course—or one could say that Jane decided to draw from Framework 2 those certain elements to work with in Framework 1. Interesting to see what happens.

(Of course, I was nonplussed, thinking at once of the extra work involved in first purchasing, then second running a second establishment, when it seems that I barely manage to find the time to do what I’m doing now. (When I asked her if she believed we were operating within Framework 2, she said she did — that the insurance questions, the donations, and our current work, all show that we are doing things much better — and I agree.

(After John B. had left, Jane said she felt that many of Seth’s predictions re John & Searle would work out soon, & all at once. [...]

When you were both working outside with jobs, out in the community, going to bars and dancing, seeing neighbors often and having parties, you disapproved of yourselves because you were not sufficiently subjective, isolated, et cetera.

(By way of contrast, I want to add here that this week Jane has been notified by Prentice-Hall of their most enthusiastic reception of her children’s book, Emir. Not only that, it appears that Prentice-Hall may have found at the same time the ideal illustrator for the work; black-and-white copies of sample illustrations have been sent to Jane, done by the female artist, with Tam’s assurances that the color is brilliant.

[...] Larry Davidson called from San Francisco, during which he agreed to ship us some copies from the bookstore where he works. [...]

[...] So I sent my eight chapters somewhere else, stopped work on the book for nearly a year, and devoted my working time to short stories which were published in various national magazines.
