The gradations of intensities are so minute that it would be impossible to measure them, and yet each field contains in coded form the actual living reality of endless eons; contains therefore what you would call the past, present and future of unnumbered universes; contains the actual coded data of any and every consciousness that has been or will be, in any universe; those that have appeared to vanish, and those which seemingly do not yet exist.

[...] We are going much deeper into the meaning of reality, and the aspects of reality. [...] And all psychic experience must have reality here, that is, within the electrical system. There is no psychic experience which does not have such electric reality. [...]

The electrical system possesses many dimensions of reality that cannot be perceived within the physical system. You are receiving instructions, you see, now in physical reality. You are also receiving instructions in other realities. [...] Certain portions of your personalities are learning, within their own perspective, to venture into physical reality, as you are learning to venture into nonphysical reality.

You see I would like you eventually to progress to a point where you can manipulate almost as freely within nonphysical reality as you do within physical reality. [...]

[...] A tree in front of the wheel will represent physical reality. [...] As the wheel turns you call the person or the self who faces the tree the ego, simply because this is the portion that faces physical reality, represented by our tree. [...]

These points are not recognized as such, but they are points of what you could call double reality, containing great energy potential; coordinate points, indeed, where realities merge. [...]

[...] They do not perceive your physical objects, for their reality is composed of a different camouflage structure. [...] This is a general statement, however, for various points of your realities can and do coincide, so to speak.

(Long pause at 9:29.) There are four absolute coordinate points that intersect all realities. These coordinate points also act as channels through which energy flows, and as warps or invisible paths from one reality to another. [...]

It is not as if that vaster reality were utterly closed to your perception, for it is not. [...] The religions, in one way or another, have always perceived it, although the attempt to interpret that reality in terms of the recognized facts of the world is bound to distort it.

To some extent the material on Frameworks 1 and 2 is of course an example of the entire idea, for you receive a good deal of information in sessions not given to book dictation — simply because, while our books are extremely free, still they must be colored by your ideas of what books are.

[...] That includes Ruburt’s as well — and that also includes of course books not yet written, in your terms, so that the future books also influence what you think of as the past ones. [...]

As words would tell little, or give small hint of the reality of sound or color to someone who did not experience these, so the words used can only give insight into the nature of reality. [...]

[...] In some strange manner, what I am, now, is linked to what you are. [...]

This communication, while taking place in your time, and in your present, is nevertheless partially responsible in other dimensions for what you would call future developments in your own personalities, which you can now in turn contact. This is partially what I am, far more than you are, or that Seth is as you thought of him.

Later you may not recall it, but you have a more direct connection with reality in the dream state, and the intensity of the dream experience is more completely perceived. I am speaking now in terms of basic reality. [...]

2. The “officially accepted life” mentioned here reminded me that in the last (694th) session Seth used the phrase “your officially recognized idea of physical reality” in discussing the role probable events played in our world history. In the 686th session he referred to “official data” when he considered ancient man’s selection of certain mental and biological pulses as physical reality; later in the same session, he used the self-explanatory “official history.” In the 684th session he discussed our “official activity” when he compared our reaction to hunches and premonitions with our acceptance of normal psychological reality.

[...] As I reread the book I learned that Jane devotes considerable portions of several chapters to material involving our friend, Sue Watkins — her adventures with dreams, projections, and probable realities — and also refers to her in other chapters. [...] Here’s what I spontaneously produced.

[...] Instead, what I found in a box in the basement was, to my amazement, a completed manuscript — a full book ready to go, one as fresh as it had ever been, and my wife had struggled with it. What emerged as Laurel Davies and I searched Jane’s and my records, including early Seth sessions, was a long story of our doubts and gropings in an area in which we had no guidance except for our own explorations. [...] I’m still astonished when I think of what Jane was to accomplish in the next few years.

[...] It has finally come to me that the dark tunnels of those streets I run on, with their mysterious implications of the unknown, and the fear of the dark that such streets can generate, are physically oriented metaphors for the transition Jane has made to another reality. In our terms, the tunnel shapes lead to an unfathomable new reality that is supposedly filled with the light of the universe. That light is symbolized by the streetlights shining through the tunnels every so often, and hinting at that great brilliant reality beyond. [...]

(10:28.) The simple fact is that as long as you believe in the concept of evil, it is a reality in your system, and you will always find it manifested. [...] If you carry this concept through succeeding generations, through reincarnations, then you add to its reality.

Through all your lives you will interpret the reality that you see in your own way, and that way will have its effect upon you, and in turn upon others. The man who literally hates, immediately sets himself up in this fashion: He prejudges the nature of reality according to his own limited understanding.

What is needed is a basic trust in the nature of vitality, and faith that all elements of experience are used for a greater good, whether or not you can perceive the way in which “evil” is transmuted into creativity. What you love will also be a part of your experience in this life and others.

[...] I am telling you again, therefore, that many of your ideas of good and evil are highly distortive, and shadow all understanding you have of the nature of reality.

Your assumptions about reality become reality. As long as you are dealing with Framework 1 only, there will seem to be no platform of an objective or subjective nature that will allow you to view reality in any other way than the way it appears to be. [...]

[...] Coupled with the letter is a treatise written by Jane herself, which contains excellent material on how our perceptions form our reality, from that of electrons on up. It is really very good, and a work that I’d completely forgotten about; I see now that it should have been incorporated into “Unknown” Reality somewhere. It concerns the ideas that concepts, as well as our senses, act as programmers of reality. [...]

(Last Saturday I mailed the last four sessions for Volume 2 of “Unknown” Reality to Prentice-Hall, and this week I’ve already finished up Chapter 1 for Psyche.

[...] My pendulum told me often that the teeth were responding to my negative projections that the two volumes of “Unknown”weren’t going to make much of an impression in the mundane world, no matter what we said or did.

[...] When you find yourself, so to speak, watching what you think of as the ego, then you are in contact with this portion of the self. It is aware of both conscious and subconscious motivations and realities, and it is also aware of projections into other fields of actuality. [...]

[...] Another portion of the self catches it unaware, leaves no ripple upon its surface, and looks beneath it to other layers of reality. [...]

[...] The whole self is being expanded, is beginning to know itself, for it always was what it will appear to be. [...]

[...] When you learn, and you are learning, to extend the limitations of your self, you simply become aware of what you are already. [...]

[...] What I am as you have known me is legitimate. I go beyond the apparent boundaries of that self by which you have known me, but it is that self that could communicate with you before you could know anymore about my reality or understand that I might be more. [...]

In other words the repressed emotionalism will only carry you so far before you need to be refreshed in Ruburt’s reality; and through approaching his reality you also gain, in a different manner than you usually know it, refreshment from the natural world.

[...] If a few bits of debris go sailing merrily down the stream (humorously), the answer is not to cut off the stream but to recognize the difference between what the stream carries.

[...] The stream has its own reality then, and the ego sees only the surface.

(Slowly:) Feelings are still dependent upon your neurological structure and its impact with physical reality. [...] Your feelings with their chemical interactions have, beside their subjective reality to you, electromagnetic properties, as indeed your thoughts have. [...] There are what I am going to call here “ghost” chemicals — aspects of normal chemicals that you have not perceived so far, where certain thresholds are approached in which chemicals are changed into purely electromagnetic properties, and energy released that directly affects the physical atmosphere.

[...] They need a strong stimulus or impact with reality against which to pit themselves, however. [...] Such individuals operate at a high pitch, and en masse emit inordinate excesses of what I have called ghost chemicals.

[...] During break we speculated about what might be learned from a computerized global study — one extending back to the beginning of our recorded history, say — to see what correlations could be discovered between earthquakes and periods of great emotional and social upheaval throughout the world…. [...]

First sentence: Your reality exists independently of your physically oriented consciousness, but while you are a creature your awareness must be interpreted through your neurological structure and your corporeal aliveness. [...]

As you dig deeper into yourself you will find hints of other realities. Yours is not the only system that exists within what you would call the same space as the physical universe. [...]

What about the cycles of history? [...] What about the spacious present and your quasars? What about your spacious present and the predictions, for example, of Nostradamus? What about the spacious present and its connection with evolution? [...]

By now it should be obvious to you that you perceive only a small portion of reality; indeed, that your idea of reality is formed and limited by your perceptions.

They have little to do with the nature of basic reality. [...] Realities that you can only perceive in terms of light can, for example, exist as sound, as motion, as color, and can have dimensions with which you are completely unfamiliar. [...]

What we will be discussing for several sessions, with your permission jointly — and, I hope, with your joint enthusiasm — will be the magical approach to reality, and to your private lives specifically, in order to create that kind of atmosphere in which the answers become experienced (underlined).

[...] The creator’s time rises out of the seasons and the tides, even though in your society you make a great effort to fit the creator’s time into what I will call assembly-line time. [...] Particularly if you want to make a living at your art, you fall into the frame of mind in which you think that “each minute is valuable” — but what you mean is that each minute must be a minute of production. True creativity comes from enjoying the moments, which then fulfill themselves, and a part of the creative process is indeed the art of relaxation, the letting go, for that triggers magical activity, and that is what Ruburt must learn.

[...] Briefly and very simply, Seth maintains that Framework 2, or inner reality, contains the creative source from which we form all events, and that by the proper focusing of attention we can draw from that vast subjective medium everything we need for a constructive, positive life in Framework 1, or physical reality.”

[...] Not only was the session a help to Jon, but it contains some excellent information on what can go on while a person is supposedly unconscious, in coma, and what we experience just before and after death.

“Her whole reality is far greater, and she is endeavoring to put these memories in place, as you would put furniture into a new house. [...]
