(Her Seth voice was good, but with many pauses.)

(4:43 p.m. “I felt he was trying to make certain points,” Jane said, “and I hope that I got it through clear enough — you know what I mean? [...]

(“I was also getting,” she said, “that he wasn’t saying that people didn’t need those operations sometimes, but that when they did, they needed those other things in order to make the operations work.”

(The day was brilliant and very warm — almost 80 degrees when I left the house for 330. Jane’s room was pleasantly cool, though. [...]

[...] The fan was on also.)

[...] Jane was quiet as she sat at the card table in the living room while I worked. [...]

(“It’s hard to be sure,” she said, “but I think from the time I was in the hospital [last February].” [...]

[...] Jane appeared to feel better, though, and was taking solace in relaxing and drifting into sleep states.)

(Earlier in the day I had remarked to Jane that it seemed the adverb “far” was showing up in the material quite often. [...]

I was going to say, “far better utilized.”

(11:15 P.M. Jane, out of trance, was surprised by the quick ending of the session.)

It might be interesting to note that with the rather generous average of 3 hours per session, for 43 sessions, the material in this book was collected in about 129 hours. [...]

This rather cumbersome method was greatly simplified as soon as Jane began to dictate the bulk of the sessions. [...]

[...] Nothing we could very easily verify, and some of it was contradictory. [...]

[...] Jane said that during the delivery she “knew,” without being aware of what Seth was saying, that he was talking about the material she’d received on her own earlier in the week. [...]

[...] Some advance material was given to him for his own use ahead of time, so to speak.

Ruburt in his Dialogues has an excellent example, in the way in which he allowed his feelings to arise, though he was initially frightened of them. [...]

[...] Jane was very surprised to learn that she’d been in trance for almost half an hour; she thought but a few minutes had passed. [...]

[...] I was just too hot but did make an effort not to sit too long; to go out on back porch, etc. [...]

[...] I went out because I thought I should; anyhow later, the parts stopped being sore; and walking there was another difference as if I were trying to swing some from side to side the way you should; felt some ambitious, cleaned bathroom a bit....

[...] The action of the pulleys was not symmetrical, however, so that the two sides of the body were out of balance. The right pulley, or group of ligaments, was most to blame, and it is that area that has been and is now releasing so well.

[...] The question upset her, especially when I added that I was afraid Seth was repeating old material under a new term. [...]

He was supposed to ask the question, and so was each reader. [...]

In spite of those thoughts, Jane was still rather upset and out of sorts a day later as session time approached. [...]

In one reality, of course, the work was finished at the Foster Avenue house (in Elmira, New York). In another it was finished in Sayre (Pennsylvania).

(Long pause at 10:23, eyes closed.) I make recommendations now and then, and now and then you see fit to follow them … ¹⁰ Considering Ruburt’s challenges, he has done extremely well as he cleared away the debris that literally surrounds the lives of most people … In a way his progress has been dependent upon the state of his learning, so that he has been trying to stretch the abilities of normal consciousness by drawing in other “strands.”¹¹ Yet because he was the one so involved, he had to test each strand; and in the meantime he still had his “old” consciousness, with its habits, to contend with.

(The 706th session was held as scheduled last Wednesday night, and our guest, Tam Mossman, did witness it — but since Seth didn’t come through with any dictation for “Unknown” Reality during the session, it’s hereby deleted.

5. Jane herself first mentioned “lands of the mind” during break in the 703rd session, which was held some three weeks ago — but she’d picked up the phrase from Seth. [...]

“Psychological Time is a natural pathway that was meant to give an easy route of access from the inner world to the outer, and back again, though you do not use it as such. [...] From its framework you will see that physical time is as dreamlike as you once thought inner time was. [...]

Other material given by me was quite correct at the time as those beliefs were applied in the past to various levels of your lives, and as you each interacted. Until you realized that the point of power was in the present, I could only deal with those beliefs in the context of your understanding.

[...] The spotlight serves as an impetus for him, and as an impediment to some extent for you—so he was trying to use the spotlight as an impetus for action precisely because he doubted his abilities. [...]

During her last days in the hospital Jane simply stopped eating, and I knew that her transition to another reality was near. I was with her when she died in her sleep at that early-morning hour in September 1984. [...]

[...] The neighborhood was muffled and serene; even the traffic passing our apartment house was slowed to a crawl for a change.)

In the case of your article, a woman’s cells would already have had to prepare themselves for the guest — granted that guest was cancerous, and was a sperm. [...]

(Since the 863rd session was held three weeks ago, Seth has given us but two regular sessions — both on subjects other than those for Mass Events — and two private sessions.

Ruburt was recently scandalized upon reading that orthodox science still does not grant man with volition. [...]

(End at 11:40 p.m. When Jane woke up the next morning, this passage of Seth’s from last night’s session was on her mind: “A group of selves forms a soul.” [...] Was Seth saying that we share a soul with others?

[...] In some dream states you may visit a particular location and then perceive the location as it was, say, three centuries ago and five years hence, and never understand what the dream meant. [...]
