(Jane’s voice was shaky, but her finger looked better. [...]

[...] Then in a fairly good voice, but with pauses:)

Donald, for example, may hear the hallucinated voice of the god or hero. The voice may be so frequent that it becomes highly distracting, or it may only appear in times of undue stress.

[...] Jane began speaking at a slow rate, her eyes closed, her voice average.)

[...] This would include other related material like hypnogogic images, hearing voices, etc. [...]

(The images, voices, dreams, etc., disappear when I deliberately bring myself back to the full waking state, but it might be interesting to see what I can do to prolong them through the use of suggestion. [...]

[...] Her voice was, briefly, quite loud when she resumed at 10:31.)

(Jane was now more positive and had a rising emotion in her voice; eyes closed during all this: “In fact, Maisie is 21... [...] Jane’s voice rose urgently: “Slam on brakes, slam on brakes!” she yelled. [...]

[...] Then a shouting voice, unrecognizable and quite loud off to my left as I lay on the bed, woke me with a start and snapped my head in that direction. I saw nothing in connection with the voice.

(In spite of her nervousness Jane began dictating on time in a rather husky voice that was somewhat stronger than normal; her pace was average, her eyes dark as usual. [...]

[...] Her Seth voice was strong if subdued. [...]

[...] Jane spoke to Seth in a quiet voice for some little time, but no results were obtained; nothing out of the ordinary was noticed by either of us. [...]

[...] Her voice was quite low and I often asked her to repeat herself. [...]

[...] Let us begin with the voices, the tape.

(Jane’s voice in trance can be almost conversational in tone, volume, and pace, but is subject to a wide range of these qualities. Usually it’s somewhat deeper and stronger than her “own” voice. Once in a while her “Seth voice” is very loud indeed, much more powerful, with definite masculine overtones and with an obvious, tremendous energy behind it. [...]

[...] She began dictation in a voice a little stronger than usual, at a rather slow rate with quite a few pauses. [...]

[...] In actuality, her delivery had been so slow that at times she paced from one end of our living room to the other before giving voice to the next word. [...]

(Jane’s voice had by now become a little deeper and quite a bit more forceful. [...]

[...] Again, her voice was quiet and deliberate, and she used many pauses. [...]

[...] When she resumed, Jane’s voice changed to fit the subject, as it often does during delivery.

[...] As soon as personalities became involved in the material however, Jane’s voice became quite amused, and displayed many humorous inflections. [...]

[...] I had a question to ask, but hesitated to voice it until she finally surrendered with a laugh. [...]
