[...] It’s easy to miss out on asking specific questions during a session — I’ve done this even when I had a list of them prepared beforehand.

[...] We’ve also accumulated considerable unpublished material on the subject.

(We’ve begun getting letters mentioning Mass Events—all laudatory—and these have helped, as Seth mentioned they would.

[...] We definitely know we’ve been taken advantage of, but basically feel it is Prentice-Hall’s fault for not checking the work in progress.

(Jane also discussed with Tam a number of points growing out of our last royalty statements; some of these are quite legitimate gripes that we’ve kept quiet about for some time. [...]

(“I haven’t done spectacularly with those red stars Seth suggested,” Jane said, “but as far as the week is concerned I’ve done pretty good. [...]

[...] Although I liked the ideas in the session, then, in another way I found it discouraging, for it’s also saying that after all this time we’re still left to struggle with the old challenges; it hardly seems that we’ve moved very far off dead center, I guess. [...]

(I’ve always found that the material seems to fly away unless it’s recorded at once in some fashion. One of the reasons for this, I’ve often thought, is because Jane isn’t the only one who’s in a trance during a session — the receiver [myself, for instance] is too, in his or her own way. [...]

[...] Searle makes birth control products, and as Searle’s representative John said the clinic’s business should be his “if I’ve done my work well.” [...]

[...] Jane reports considerable progress here, saying her ears are now clearer “than they’ve been in years.” [...]

[...] Seth talked about many things, but his remarks here, as I’ve put them together, mainly concerned a subject he’d first discussed with members of class just a week ago [on October 1]¹ — the “city” they could start building in their individual and collective dream states:)

9. On facing pages in our album, Jane and I have a pair of large, rather formal photographs of ourselves that we’ve often joked about. [...]

I do admit that in recent years I’ve wondered more and more why artists don’t deal with at least their own past-life images. [...] I’ve already painted them (but can always add more). [...]

During her journey (and mine) I helped her publish 19 volumes of the Seth material, fiction, and poetry, and since her death in 1984 I’ve added 12 more so far, including this first volume of The Personal Sessions. [...]

I’ve noted that many of the sessions in this personal series will not be complete, but deleted excerpts from published sessions. [...]

[...] Part of the answer, as I’ve already noted, is that because of her strong fears from early childhood on, Jane did not allow Seth to tell us all he could have. [...]
