Arbitrarily, I chose professional events from our own lives, and thought of all of them as happening at once (as, according to Seth, in a larger framework they do). [...]

(Jane took a very long pause in trance at 10:25—so long, in fact, that I thought she might have fallen asleep as she sat there on the couch with her eyes closed.)

When man really intensified “rational” thought, and developed the electric light, he lengthened the time of waking consciousness to some extent. [...] The importance of symbols was minimized, and intuitive thought to some extent, went out of style.

[...] I said that I thought the implications here, that Jane’s “own” books didn’t do well, were pretty poor for anyone trying to build a career. [...]

[...] Had you at the same moment instead thought, for example, about Prentice-Hall in a negative way, or about any other negative event of the past or probable future, you would have responded to an event that in an important way was not immediately a part of the facts of the natural world.

[...] Your presence and help have been highly supportive, and also as I planned, your presence has made Ruburt more aware of his morning behavior and thoughts and sometimes he has tried to verbalize them.

Now: When Ruburt’s high level of creativity happened to be strong enough to easily include five or six hours a day he improved, since his inspiration took as many hours as he thought his work should.

Inspiration and creativity he felt he could trust, but never felt he could trust his working capacity in the way he thought of work. [...]

The thoughts of children give excellent clues as to mankind’s nature, but many adults do not remember any childhood thoughts except those that fit, or seem to fit, in with their beliefs about childhood.

Jane said I’d never told her about getting sick on purpose, although I thought I had. [...]

These were interruptions, and because of your attitudes you thought of them as troublesome interruptions: surely you would have sailed through your work otherwise, or performed chores that you wanted to accomplish; and so because you still do not really understand the effectiveness of Framework 2, those visits added to your sense of concern and hassles with time. [...]

He thought of that term before our Framework 1 and 2 material, and his idea was that the impulses came from a part of the self that automatically knew the entire picture of the self’s environment and potentials. [...]

[...] Remind yourself, again, of “Unknown’s” completed form, and if you do so its pattern will transpose itself upon your thoughts as you work, so that you will be tuning into its model in that respect.

[...] I said I wished she’d made notes, which upset Jane because she thought I should have been glad she got the material to begin with, whether or not it was written down. [...] I thought that tonight Jane wanted to try for a short session in order to get that material recorded.

When he was walking his thoughts were upon how well or poorly he was walking, rather than on his book, the weather, or some neutral subject.

The thought of such contact is highly intriguing, and we cannot help but wonder what effect it would have, not only on Rob and Dr. Pietra, but on their separate systems of reality. [...]

[...] Such material may at times bleed or intrude into your own thought, where it blends and is not recognized. In such cases, it takes on the coloration of your own thought patterns. [...]

(Before finishing the notes I thought of asking a few other people if they had either heard of double dreaming, or had experienced it. [...]

[...] Language and your verbal thought patterns make such translations highly difficult, however, even in the best of circumstances. [...]

I wrote in the Introductory Notes that I thought Jane’s speed in producing the Seth material was “a close physical approach to, or translation of, Seth’s idea that basically all exists at once — that really there is no time …” I’ll add here that the phenomenon of double dreaming can be another way of approximating the idea of simultaneous time (or lives), about which we as physical creatures always have so many questions.
