[...] I reminded Jane of them again just before the session tonight, in the hope that Seth might be ready to discuss them.

[...] She said she had a strong feeling of affection from Seth at the end of the session, as sometimes happens. [...]

[...] So far, then, events have fallen into line with Seth’s material yesterday—about the probable lack of a lawsuit, an early resolving of the insurance question, and with Jane’s own feelings about same, at the end of yesterday’s session. [...]

Early in this essay (which I began on May 7, 1982), I mentioned the series of sessions Seth gave in 1980 on his magical approach to reality, and the different approaches Jane and I took toward doing books on the subject. We were becoming so harried by her worsening physical symptoms when that material started to come through that she gave up working on Dreams and concentrated on those private sessions instead. [...] By then, she’d held only one session for Dreams in the last 13 months.

As Seth told us in that introductory session, over four and a half years ago, Jane’s “body itself has nothing wrong with it except the application of beliefs…. [...] Then, a bit later, Seth made a statement that I’ve thought most ironic ever since: “In terms of creativity, however, Ruburt has long been operating in Framework 2, and this session should help him make certain correlations so that he can automatically begin to use such methods in regard to his physical conditon.”

Among the subjects not discussed so far are Seth’s (and our own) ideas on reincarnation, counterparts, probable realities, and Frameworks 1 and 2. Jane briefly referred to Seth’s “magical approach” material in her dictation last month (see her own session of April 16, 1982, in Essay No. [...]

[...] My version will mainly feature the dozen or so sessions Seth gave in August—September 1980, and the poetry Jane was inspired to write because of them. [...]

Our session last evening was a rather serious one, for I believe it necessary that the terms of these endeavors be stated at once, and as clearly as possible. [...]

The session last evening was to some extent inhibited because of the emotional climate that affected our good Jesuit (Bill Gallagher). [...]

As mentioned (in the 614th session in Chapter Two), the first important step is to realize that your beliefs about reality are just that — beliefs about reality and not necessarily attributes of reality. [...]

I mentioned (in the 619th session) a game in which you playfully adopt an idea that you want to materialize, then imagine it happening in your mind. [...]

We will indeed close our session, and in our next session I will continue with this evening’s discussion.

Now, I could often carry our sessions longer. [...] Not so much because of the time used in the session, Joseph, but because of your labors in recording them.

(This was our first attempt at recording Jane’s voice during a session. We knew little about operating the recorder yet, although the night before Jane had successfully recorded a hypnosis session in which she had helped me with my back trouble.

(We had but a 5-inch reel, and since the hypnosis material was also on this reel we didn’t think we could record the whole Seth session, even with 4-track technique. [...]
