Results 621 to 640 of 1932 for stemmed:session
Now I will end our session. If you want an extra book session you may have it this weekend. [...]
[...] Seth replied several times that “the answer has already been given in the early part of tonight’s session, by inference. [...] The session ended then at 11:35 PM.
(This material is from the 670th session for June 13, 1973.
[...] If you have questions I will answer them later this evening, and if you want you can have an extra session for book dictation.
(I had two questions for our portion of the session, and we expected that Seth’s answers would be included in the Appendix of his book. The first question: According to Seth, he, Jane and I lived in Denmark in the 1600’s. I simply wanted clarification of the data on my lifespan, as given in the notes at the end of the 541st session, in Chapter Eleven.
The general itinerary of my journeys as given in that session by Ruburt was correct. There were some distortions in other portions of that session, however.
(The first part of the session was given over to a friend who needed help with a personal problem. [...]
(In the 223rd session for January 16, 1966, Seth said that my name in the Denmark life was Larns Devonsdorf. [...]
[...] Again, Jane was surprised at the early end of the session. Again, she thought the length of the session, or the time involved, had little to do with the quality of the material. She’s had the same reactions following the last deleted session of Monday evening. [...] “I wonder if the sessions get better as I get better....”)
[...] Before the session I showed her a copy of my dream for last Monday morning—one that had been so unpleasant that I’d avoided writing it down until after supper tonight. [...]
[...] And now after this weighty session I bid you a fond good evening—with the point that the eyes should show more improvement now as the neck ligaments are loosening.
End of session—unless you have a question.
[...] Jim agreed that it might be a good idea for him to begin reading back sessions while Jane and I were holding our Wednesday night sessions, thus killing two birds with one idea. He also spoke of recording some sessions, to which we have no objections. [...]
[...] At 8:55 she said she was not as nervous as usual before a session. [...] Jane began dictating in a voice a bit heavier than usual, and maintained it throughout the session. [...]
I have rushed in one manner, giving you some excellent material to follow that last session, and yet the quality did not suffer, though I pushed Ruburt rather far. [...] When you are asked about these sessions, that is your answer. [...]
[...] I do not want these sessions to get the reputation of giving demonstrations, for reasons that are rather complicated. [...] However, because of the attitude in the scientific world at large, these sessions should have a more sober climate, in that I do not want either of you to be thought of, in Ruburt’s words, as a pair of nuts.
(The following material is from the 898th session. Before the session I’d mentioned to Jane that I’d like something from Seth about my dream of early this morning. A copy is attached, and a copy of this part of the session is attached to the dream in my dream notebook.
End of session—
[...] Next I began to remind myself of Seth’s material in the last three private sessions—to live in the present and stop projecting into the future, that my body didn’t deserve to be treated that way, and didn’t understand such musings. [...]
SESSION 898 (DELETED PORTION)
(The sessions also stressed her fears of being attacked by the world if she used her abilities. [...]
(The session for February 5 even stressed that the same energy that healed her right leg could also straighten it. [...]
(She did agree to try for a session, however, even though I thought she didn’t feel up to it. [...]
[...] After the session I began to wonder if Seth hadn’t contradicted himself by saying there could be an end result of something infinite. [...] Seth had indicated in the preceding paragraph of the session that such faltering of the reasoning abilities may occur. [...]
[...] In Volume 1 of “Unknown” Reality, see Note 5 for the 681st session, which was held on February 11, 1974. I wrote that at the age of 25, nine years before initiating the sessions, Jane expressed the moment point in her poem, “More Than Men.” [...]
SESSION 915, MAY 12, 1980
9:10 P.M. MONDAY
[...] I last mentioned it a month ago; in Chapter 6 for Volume 1 of Dreams, see the opening notes for the 907th session.
[...] I’d record the “sessions,” adding times, dates, and the barest sort of other material, so that Jane could build up her own notes around those ingredients. My idea here was that as soon as I had a session typed from my original “shorthand,” Jane could add whatever she wanted to about her trance states, feelings, or ideas, while the session circumstances were still fresh in her mind.
(Seth finished dictating his last book, The “Unknown” Reality: A Seth Book, three months ago, in the 744th session for April 23. Jane finally admitted earlier today that she’s had only seven sessions since then because she didn’t want to make too much extra work for me while I’m busy with the complicated notes for that book. [...]
SESSION 752, JULY 28, 1975
9:25 P.M. MONDAY
(I told her that I didn’t care if the book was short, medium, or long — or whether it took six months to produce, or a year, or five years: If she held one or two sessions a week, or one a month, it would still give her a book in the works, and she would have that comforting knowledge. [...]
(The two young couples, Marilyn and Don Wilbur, and Ann Diebler and Paul Sinderman, witnessed the unscheduled session of November 5,1965. See the notes for the 206th session. The Wilburs and Ann Diebler also witnessed the unscheduled session for December 3,1965; see the notes for the 214th session.
(I can offer a connection, but cannot verify it with Seth until next session. After this session I remembered that the Wilburs are reading what we call Book One of the Seth material. This consists of the first 26 sessions. The first formal session was held December 2,1963. [...]
(The regularly scheduled session for Monday, February 21, was not held. [...] As a result we felt much refreshed for tonight’s session. We wanted to make up for the Dr. Instream experiment we missed on Monday, however, so before tonight’s session we mentioned aloud that we hoped Seth would deal with this.
[...] She ended the session with a smile. Presumably Seth refers to the writings she has sent out recently. Her publisher, F. Fell, has written expressing interest in her book on the Seth material and on the poetry book described in the 232nd session, page 269. [...] See page 287 in Session 233. [...]
[...] I read her the session after supper. She called me, with Carla’s help, at 9:20, as I was finishing typing the session.)
(She was still blue at session time, but her Seth voice was stronger than usual.)
We will resume dictation, and the following session should be particularly taken to heart by Ruburt (intently).
The session should, on its own, clear up some of Ruburt’s difficulties and increase his pleasures.
[...] A short session did develop however, after we sat for one at the usual 9 PM time. [...] Seth promised the rest of the data John requested in the next session.
In our next session I will give some material pertaining to the woman. [...] We will end the session unless you have questions, Joseph.
SESSION 415
Seth gave so many sessions that were devoted to my own physical condition that I finally became embarrassed and confused: The sessions were obviously terrific—why couldn’t I put them to more practical use?
I have no idea, of course, what physical state I’d be in if the Seth phenomenon hadn’t appeared in my life (in late 1963), or if I hadn’t had those sessions to rely upon. And even in the most private-type sessions Seth always wound his material into more public areas, so that we have reams of unpublished (and very controversial) material dealing with the connections between one’s illness and other members of the family, community relationships, and with the very belief systems that underlie all of human activity. [...]
[...] Then as we went to bed she brought up two additional subjects to discuss, for those who would wonder: why we hadn’t more actively sought medical help in the past for her physical condition; and the many private, or deleted, sessions Seth himself has given for her over the years.
[...] The diagnosis—which I mentioned in my first session (on April 1)—gave a pinpointed, specific cause: a severely underactive thyroid gland, a situation that in no way contradicts Seth’s own larger interpretation of my physical state.
(This afternoon I reminded Jane that she should read the 657th session in Chapter 15 of Personal Reality. [...] My depression grew through the afternoon, the session, while I slept, and woke again. [...]
He is himself a person who brought about a vital breakthrough in his own knowledge, an acceleration of creativity quite extraordinary, that led to these sessions, and these sessions have literally expanded the realities of many, many people. [...]
This session can indeed be a turning point, if you accept it as such. [...] Understand that, for this session can indeed be a turning point, and you can both determine that this be so. [...]
Your pendulum sessions have been of benefit, and one reason is because they represent a united, joint and determined effort on both of your parts, and Ruburt feels your support. [...]
(As we waited for the session Jane felt a little better. [...] This morning, we’d asked a series of pendulum questions about material in Monday’s session, concerning work, inspiration, protection, and so forth, and obtained some illuminating answers.
(Shortly before the session began, Jane made a remark about her hands feeling better after her nap. [...]
You have both built an excellent edifice of a different kind, in Ruburt’s books and mine, and in the sessions themselves, an edifice most admirable, and one that is composed of a kind of material that on its own possesses, among other characteristics, automatic self-protective ones. [...]
(The afternoon passed without Jane having a session. [...] She said she was too upset to have a session. [...] She said she’d been having the longer sessions to get information she could use on herself — that each day she tried to put it to use. [...] By 4:25 she still hadn’t had a session, and I didn’t think she would.
[...] When Jeff called I was reading the last portion of the first session in Jane’s book, The Individual and the Nature of Mass Events — for April 18, 1977, in connection with a note I’m doing for Dreams. [...]
(I was also angry that Jane hadn’t allowed anything to come through in sessions about herself for some time. [...]
[...] She said she doesn’t use it or do any reading because of the longer sessions.
[...] As usual I read Seth’s data back to John, and as he has in past sessions he then began to make connections. See the 135th, 166th, 190th, 199th, 200th, and 204th sessions for material re. [...] A fair amount of the material is telepathic and/or clairvoyant, especially that of the 204th session. Seth expands on this last session in the 205th and 206th sessions, and deals with John’s experience in hearing Seth speak to him when he was alone.
(The session was witnessed by John Bradley, our friend from Williamsport, PA, who attends a session occasionally. [...] The last session John witnessed was the 204th.
(Jane had been very pleased with some humorous poetry she had written today, and had been reading it to John before the session. [...] Just as the session began he had been folding a newspaper; as usual Seth wasn’t bashful about asking for quiet.)
[...] As stated, John has since written Mr. McKeown for more information, and any additional information related to Seth’s predictions in this session will be included in a future session.)
(Just before the session began Jane happened to remark that Saturday, May 23, Miss Callahan’s companion will be replaced by another, who is to take care of her weekends. Neither of these two companions are professional nurses, though they are used to taking care of people with troubles like Miss Callahan’s. May 23 is the date Seth gave us as a day of crisis for Miss Callahan; and Seth reiterated this along with a word of caution in the last session, the 54th, page 90.
[...] The whole session, which she feels to be exceptionally good, has been like a dream to her. My right hand felt somewhat cramped after the above delivery, although in recent sessions it has been much better.
(I was now most interested in taking some measurements from both Jane and myself while our hands felt this way, as Bill Macdonnel had helped me do in the 47th session, when we found definite physical evidence of finger enlargement. Not being able to do this at the moment however, I did recall Seth’s very definite statements in the 49th session, page 63, concerning his most conservative attitude toward demonstrations.)
My most beloved friends, this is one of our best sessions to date. [...] I will hereby close the session. [...]
I like to keep our sessions fairly balanced. It is possible that sometime in the near future, perhaps late spring or summer, we can arrange for a few specific sessions, in which several envelopes are prepared ahead of time. The purpose of such possible sessions simply being the fortification of Ruburt’s shaky confidence.
(The session was held this evening with the chance that it might be interrupted. One of the tenants in the house had finally located a man with a plow, who was due to clear the area at 9 PM this evening. [...] We decided to go ahead with the session anyhow, on the chance the man with the snowplow did not show up, or was late.
(The 30th envelope test was held during the session. [...]
(The session is quite unusual, in that all of it is devoted to experimental material of one kind or another. [...]
