This sense, however, is concerned with the innate knowledge of the universe in its entirety; and particular data about specific areas of the universe often is given to a living organism to make manipulation in a specific area possible.

[...] Now, the strange sensation experienced by Ruburt just before this session was a taste of our seventh inner sense, but only a small portion. [...]

Ruburt experienced this on a physical level, trying again to translate inner data into sensation that could be recognized by the outer senses. [...]

[...] You will go on now to develop other senses as you learn of them. The problem is not only to receive data through the inner senses in an undistorted and coherent manner, but also of translating this data into the particular camouflage patterns with which you are familiar.

In any case however, her inner senses were indeed wide open. [...]

[...] The transference of my data is automatic and instantaneous on Ruburt’s part and is performed through the inner workings of the mind, the inner senses and the brain.

To do this, rely upon your immediate sense data, not secondary experience as described. That primary sense data, while pinpointed in the present, providing you with the necessary stance in time, still can open up to you the timelessness from which all time emerges, can bring you intuitive intimations, hinting at the true nature of the ever-present coming-to-be of the universe.

[...] Let us call primary experience that which exists immediately in sense terms in your moment of time — the contact of body with environment. [...]

If you are safely ensconced in a comfortable room, in no present danger, your senses should accurately convey that information. [...]

Your body then might say you are safe, and your senses show you that no danger is present — yet you have begun to rely so upon secondary experience that you do not trust your creature reactions.

As I mentioned, the sixth inner sense involves something that can be likened to what you call the instincts, except that it is a property of the inner self. [...] Here your simple spider is using his sixth sense, for these senses are the latent property of other living things, and not restricted to mankind.

What you have in the spider’s activity amounts to a demonstration of the sixth inner sense almost in its pure form. The spider has no intellect or outer ego, and his manipulations are the direct result of activities performed by pure and spontaneous use of the inner senses. [...]

All of the inner senses are not utilized to the same degree on any plane. Many planes are given over to the training in the use of one or two of the most important inner senses. [...]

Now that we have briefly discussed the meaning of a tissue capsule I will go into the seventh inner sense a bit more deeply. This sense allows for an expansion or contraction of the tissue capsule. [...]

Man has always attempted to examine those realities that he could perceive through the outer senses. [...]

[...] Yet in using the inner senses, you yourselves probe into this universe, and at least in analogy dissect it, the inner self acting as the imaginary knife.

Thoughts have shape in terms of intensity mass, though you cannot see their shape; your outer senses do not perceive it. [...]

Parents who are actually quite worried about their childrens’ susceptibility to illness often go overboard, stressing all kinds of sports and sports-related projects, but the children sense their parents’ unspoken fears, and they try to reassure their parents through achieving high goals or merit in sports programs.

[...] This will help him uncover the reasons for his distrust of the body, so that he can begin to feel a new sense of the body’s reliability, resourcefulness, and powerful healing abilities.

We will of course tie this data in with our inner senses to a large degree, and there is much that I have not yet given you on the inner senses alone. The information on matter is a necessary preliminary to the understanding of other inner-sense information, and some of this will be given when I discuss your own experiences.

[...] It is only the outer senses which cannot perceive what does not fall into their own domain. When you perceive an action with your outer senses, you call it material if it is, or if it appears to be, static.

The main point, before I get sidetracked, that I was building up to, is that matter is action utilized by the inner senses and perceived by the outer senses.

[...] Remember that the subconscious is at the outer end of the inner senses, and the inner senses create physical constructions. [...]

Before we close I want to mention the importance of the third inner sense with the experience of concept patterns. The third inner sense, involving what you would call perception of past, present and future, is the sense that enables the inner ego and entities to experience direct concept-patterns, and free them therefore from successive cause and effect limitations.

I had intended this evening to go into our third inner sense and instead ended up with other materials. We still have very much on the inner senses to cover. [...]

The temporary and apparent sense of freedom from the camouflage pattern oftentimes leads the subject or student into a false sense of freedom from it in daily life, and causes a lack of ego discipline that should be maintained. [...]

[...] She did say, “I feel a great humorous sense of waiting that isn’t mine.” [...]

I am not saying that you should not believe the evidence of your senses; I am waiting for you to say that. [...] Face up to it, my dear lovelies: Your senses lie. [...] Your senses, and again this is to bring John-Philip up to date, your senses are perceptors of a camouflage physical world which is created by the inner self through the use of mental enzymes in a pattern set by the mental genes.

It is important that you tie in this evolutionary material with previous data concerning the inner senses. The inner senses were always paramount in evolutionary development, being the impetus behind the physical formations; and themselves, through the use of mental enzymes, imprinting the data contained in the mental genes onto the physical camouflage material.

[...] If you would simply for once, and for once Joseph I am not referring to you particularly, if you would for once demonstrate an openness and a willingness to accept such data on its own basis, without insisting upon evidence from the regular senses, then and only then will you have evidence that the outer senses can recognize.

[...] It did not appear constructed, that is in constructed form, for a long period of physical time however, and we have discussed psychological time as being part of what I will call for now an inner time sense.

[...] Your physical senses then allow you to perceive this camouflage, for they are attuned to it in a highly specialized manner. But to sense the reality within the form requires a different sort of attention, and more delicate manipulations than the physical senses provide.

[...] Your physical senses permit you to perceive the exterior forms to which you then react, but your physical senses to some extent force you to perceive reality in this manner, and the inside vitality within matter and form is not so apparent.

[...] The physical senses allow you to perceive the three-dimensional world, and yet by their very nature they can inhibit the perception of other equally valid dimensions. [...]

[...] It correlates information that is perceived not through the physical senses, but through other inner channels. [...]

You must perceive what you do of reality through your physical senses, but your physical senses distort reality. [...] The physical senses can only perceive reality a little bit at a time, and so it seems to you that one moment exists, and is gone forever, and the next moment comes, and like the one before it disappears. China and Egypt, lives in various religious capacities, however, without the necessary sense of responsibility. [...] Only in this existence is there finally some understanding, and a growing sense of responsibility. [...]

There are many matters here very difficult to express in words, for you are so afraid for your sense of identity that you resist the idea that the soul, for example, is an open spiritual system, a powerhouse of creativity that shoots out in all directions — and yet this is indeed the case.

[...] In our seance we were, again, manipulating energy and forming objects from it—objects that you could perceive with your physical senses. The inner senses operate on all planes and under all circumstances. The outer senses vary according to plane and circumstance. The outer senses are dependable only in terms of the definite plane for which they were constructed. [...]

I intend to go into more material about various planes, and soon to give a comprehensive view of the inner senses and their mechanism and operation. If this is not too much for you I will add this: that the inner senses would correspond to the outer senses of the inner hidden self-conscious self, that is, separated by the subconscious from your ordinary conscious self.

[...] They originate in the subconscious, it is true, but before this an idea quality is received by the inner senses. [...]

In the last analysis the channel for vitality or for vitality’s transformation into physical matter is of course the inner senses’ ability, and there is a counteraction here as far as the conscious ego is concerned. [...]

Dictation: An animal has a sense of its own biological integrity. [...]

A species that senses a lack of this quality can in one way or another destroy its offspring — not because they could not survive otherwise, but because the quality of that survival would bring about vast suffering, for example, so distorting the nature of life as to almost make a mockery of it. Now: in the first episode mentioned the experience was the same, only more vividly experienced since the focus personality was not fully awake and did not have immediate sense data to handle. [...] His main consciousness was merged with mine in the session format; while in the waking experience his consciousness was in the normal image, which sensed the projected one. [...]

[...] Following this in a period of usual activity (the same evening), he sensed his own image speaking for me and sitting across the couch from him in our (Seth’s) accustomed position. [...]

When Ruburt on the couch sensed himself in the chair giving a session, to himself on the couch, this was symbolic of a new kind of relationship between the two of us. [...]

He, that portion, watched television while still sensing us across the table. [...]

[...] Do laws define what is unacceptable, or do they hint of some perhaps undifferentiated, barely sensed, more positive issues? [...]
