“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(“It seems some connection with cars or transportation.” As stated, the object contained a letter describing the reunion of perhaps half a dozen artists who worked together in the early 1940’s. The reunion was attended by the writer of the letter. All of the reunion participants live in the New York City and New Jersey area just across the Hudson River. In his letter Wendell does not name the town or city in which the reunion, at a restaurant, took place, but from following data Jane and I surmise it took place in New York City.

(Jack did not attend the reunion, though of course he is mentioned in Wendell’s letter of May 26. A strong connection is that Jack’s younger brother, Otto, did attend the reunion, and is also mentioned in the letter to some extent.

(See the tracing of tonight’s envelope object on page 71 and the notes on the next page. The empty envelope used as object was mailed to me last May 26,1966, by an old friend, Wendell Crowley, and contained a letter detailing a reunion of a group of friends, all artists, that Wendell and I worked with in 1941-43. The letter was not in the envelope but was kept separate by me for reference after the session. As I suspected, some of Seth’s data referred to the contents of the letter rather than the envelope object itself.

(In any event travel by various modes from a cluster of surrounding towns in that area would have been necessary for the artists attending the reunion.

[...] Then on the afternoon of the 25th she had a nap-dream adventure featuring a family reunion, my father, and others. [...]

The next, psychic family dream represented an actual reunion of some Sumari family members, so that Ruburt would not feel so alone, but realize he did indeed have rich emotional connections with others, at other levels, and that he was part of a family of creative initiators, full of energy and vigor, who could go out into the world or cheerfully forget it if they chose.

The dream also represented the coming birth of new material, for the “family members” gave each other new information and bits of knowledge, so that this was also a reunion of portions of the psyche.

[...] The c-e-l-l-s (spelled) of the young men in question were always in communication, and all of those elements needed to bring about such a reunion took place at that magical level of activity. [...]

[...] In a fashion the triplets were reacting in their past to a future event that has now caught up with them, so that each of their actions in any moment of that past happened as a result of a tension — a creative tension — between the event of their original separation and the event of their future reunion.

I do not mean that the reunion was inevitable or predestined, but the vigor of that probability, you might say, magnified the original tension. [...]

[...] There was great emotional charge behind the whole reunion question, and the “shall I go—shall I not go”—questioning discharged long withheld energy. [...]

(Last Saturday morning, June 10, 1 offered to take Jane to the 20th reunion of her high school class in Saratoga. [...]

Now the Sumari are gathering together and the Sumari are coming home and you should be prepared for some emotional reunions for they will come from near and afar. [...]

[...] They are having a reunion in depth.

[...] The reunion is joyous and his vision is clear at last in terms of his own selfhood.

[...] Now I think that you should all celebrate their family reunion. [...]

[...] But there will be reunions and reminiscences, mark my words.

[...] Many of the people who come here come home in the ways that [members of a physical] family attend a reunion.
