“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(Earlier today I told Jane that I was afraid the questions weren’t very representative of Seth’s book, and that to assemble a truly relevant list of them would require an intimate study of each chapter. [...]

[...] In your terms it would be as if you saw a series of quickly moving pictures, all representing various poses of one personality. [...]

These idea camouflage patterns represent important if nonmaterial structures, and we will refer to them as idea camouflage structures from now on, since they are basic frameworks that control the actual physical camouflage patterns, and even supervise for you the extent to which such physical patterns can be constructed.

They represent a more or less true account of the nature of your camouflage universe, but if they are understood as being limited to your camouflage environment only, then your scientists would not attempt to use them as yardsticks to measure other universes.

[...] As the pictures and representations in a photograph are only dim, incomplete symbols for the people and objects they represent, so the physical universe is but a dim image of the reality for which it stands.

It was in this session that Seth made the analogy of the “weird creature with two faces,” one turned to physical reality and one to inner reality, both conscious and aware, each representing one facet of our consciousness.

The point is that all of the world’s problems also represent great challenges. [...]

[...] Seth explained that the ovarian tumor represented her subconscious attempt to grow something, since she has now almost gone through menopause and cannot grow children. [...]

Great discrimination is used, so that, for example, certain portions of one newspaper item is noticed over others because that item represents some of the dream’s message. [...]

[...] It could hardly be a coincidence, I remarked to Jane this noon that both mass events had taken place this year, and represented the two poles, or extremes, of mankind’s present belief systems: religion and science. [...]

[...] It represented, to him, something quite different than the Christian fish you wear around your neck (to Joel). [...]

([Joel:]“You have to take each individual case then, as representative, in that you have to look at it, in the case of this fish, as something personal.”)

Instead, you are not only reading but writing many such books of living experience, that represent existences. [...]

2. Seth, in the 683rd session for Volume 1: “Reincarnation simply represents probabilities in a time context (underlined) — portions of the self that are materialized in historical contexts.”

[...] They simply represent a different kind of selfhood.

[...] Seth commented on dolphins some 10 months ago in his final delivery for the 688th session in Volume 1 of “Unknown” Reality; he cited them as being not only similar to certain species that had lived on our own planet in the far past, but as representing bleed-throughs from probable realities in which water-dwelling mammals predominate.

[...] During that period we held the 737th session [on February 17], but since we weren’t consciously concerned with that particular place then, we neither talked about it nor asked Seth to comment; instead, on his own during the session, Seth discussed the house on Foster Avenue as representing a probability, and a pretty likely one, that we could choose to explore. (She did remember that Milumet represented many mystics, then added rather humorously that she didn’t think the name fit the activity — she thought Zuli a much better mystical appellation. [...]

(Jane also said that when the information “An engagement,” etc., came through, it represented Seth’s effort to put her on the right track. [...]

(Long pause.) In your dream, the tree represents the tree of life, or nature, growing on its own, repairing itself as it goes along. [...]

[...] Spontaneity, however, represents the spirit of life itself, and it is the basis for the will to live, and for those impulses that stimulate action, motion, and discovery.
