(Jane took another pause. This one lasted a minute and a half by the clock. She sat quietly, eyes closed, her hands folded in her lap. It is probably as long a pause as she has taken during the sessions. Finally she resumed speaking, her voice quiet as before.)

(Once again the session was held in our quiet back room. Both of us felt somewhat tired, but attributed it to the weather, which has been cloudy and oppressive for the past few days. Jane and I try to ignore such factors consciously, but have no doubt we feel the psychic effects of weather as much as anybody else.

(Jane spoke while sitting down and with her eyes closed. As in the last session her voice was very quiet and clear, and she used many pauses. We hoped to obtain more material on dream therapy. She began speaking at 9:01 actually.)

I see that we will have another quiet session.

[...] Her voice was quiet, her pace rather rapid even though she used pauses.)

[...] She resumed with the same fast and quiet delivery, again with her eyes closed, at 9:20.)

(Jane resumed, again with her eyes closed, and sitting down, in a quiet voice, and at a brisk pace, at 9:31.)

(Jane now took a long pause, sitting quietly without moving for perhaps a minute. [...]

(Seth announced his presence as the four of us sat quietly talking, at approximately 11:45 PM. [...]

(It was rather quiet in the studio, though I could hear Jane’s typewriter, but through the closed doors the sound was muffled and rather steady, and the rest of the house was quiet. [...]

(Sometime later during the night, when all was quiet, Jane awoke and received another message from Seth: Seth told me, Jane, I was wrong in saying to Rob “You were some help,” as his attack came on at once after the remark.)

[...] And I also most strongly suggest that three times a week in a very quiet, disciplined but positive manner, he makes it a point to express himself when any matters arise where he holds a diverse opinion from the one being presented.
