(Yesterday I finished typing up the 841st session, so now I’m all caught up on the sessions that had piled up while Jane and I worked checking the page proofs for Volume 2 of “Unknown” Reality, Psyche, and similar matters. [...]

[...] He has been given a highly important symbol which stands in his psyche for the meaning of truth. [...]

[...] They seem to be the official pulses of your civilization, giving precedence to official reality, but you have little idea that the psyche is inherently able to seek its conscious experience from all of the known ranges, according to the kind of experience chosen at any given “time.”

[...] I arranged that both women would meet here at 4:00 PM to talk with Jane for an hour before supper time; Sue Watkins was also due that afternoon with some typed material for Psyche—which is why I made the arrangement to begin with.

[...] Psyche will mention my ideas about sex, for example, and will be bought by some people because of that subject alone, who will be again led to the other books. [...]

The naming and labelling of “diseases” is a harmful practice that to a large extent denies the innate mobility and ever-changing quality of the psyche as expressed in flesh. [...]

(Last Saturday I mailed the last four sessions for Volume 2 of “Unknown” Reality to Prentice-Hall, and this week I’ve already finished up Chapter 1 for Psyche.

[...] And I do not want any of you, you see, to use these ideas as superficial bandages to put over your bleeding psyches because these ideas can, on occasion, be used in a superficial manner. [...]

While you are freeing yourself still you recognize within your psyche a leaning in that direction, and so you lash out whenever you hear such ideas, not realizing that you lash out also against yourself. [...]

[...] This would not necessarily mean that the dream itself had tragic overtones, simply that it was taken in the “poor light” of the psyche’s mood.

[...] Since through my internal vision I evidently looked in upon a particular past life of my own, however unaware I was of what I was doing, it seems that the knowledge of that existence may not be too deeply buried within my psyche. [...]

(A week has passed, and I’m still surprised: Not only has Jane helped me considerably in planning the notes for Psyche, but the other day she switched over to my Introductory Notes for Volume 2 of “Unknown” Reality and began organizing them in the same loose way.

[...] I’d grown very angry as the material unfolded—angry at that portion of Jane’s psyche for clinging so tenaciously to such a set of beliefs, for whatever reasons, and angry at myself for not understanding any better than she did their extent and depth, and just how damaging they could be in ordinary terms. [...]

[...] On the surface at least, it was as though some powerful portion of her psyche were exacting a grim compensation for the books’ appearance in the marketplace. [...]

[...] It all was—and is—great material, and more accurate and penetrating than my own ideas as to why some portion of Jane’s psyche might feel a need for protection from the world, or from another part of herself. [...]

(“That constant book stuff can get confining, though,” she said, then reminded me that Seth — with her obvious consent — had plunged into Mass Events only a couple of weeks after finishing Psyche. [...]

[...] Sue Watkins delivered the finished manuscript for several chapters of Psyche, and picked up more to type. [...]

[...] He has already learned a lesson, in that that same concentration can be applied to change the condition of this own psyche and physical body.

(Pace slower.) They not only have a reality in the psyche, however, but they are imbedded in genetically codified data by the inner self — a genetic memory of past psychic events — transposed into the genetic memory of the very cells that compose the body.

[...] He tries to view his own work through some idealized image of a psyche who is as gifted as he is as a writer, and also highly gifted in meeting the public, putting on performances, acting as a healer, as a prophet, and as an expert therapist all at once, and in so doing his own characteristics and natural abilities and inclinations become lost along the way. There were deeply-significant roots to his relationships with the various priests, that had almost magical connotations to him and his psyche. [...]
