(This afternoon, when I returned from running errands—paying state and federal taxes, etc.—Jane told me that she was having all kinds of “weird things” happening in her back and legs, as though various portions of her anatomy were loosening at uneven rates. [...]

[...] Certain portions of the body were released this evening. [...]

You will learn to take a certain portion of purpose with you through suggestion, so that you can attempt to enlarge the dream space of which you are first aware. [...]

You have what you may think of then as a split action, where one portion of the self, the inner ego, is allowed to travel through the other states of action that compose the whole self, purposefully as a director, and retain the knowledge thereby received.

[...] It seems to have clothes but with a portion of the bottom of the drawer showing between, and somewhere in there a small notebook of some kind, or photographs that mean much to her.

[...] The information I have given you I derived from a certain portion of the girl’s consciousness. [...]

Tonight, Seth suggested that “portions of this session can be appended to the book,” meaning Dreams, but I found it easier to offer most of his generalized material verbatim while eliminating his information on one of my dreams.)

[...] Otherwise, I said, the whole process becomes self-defeating not only for the conscious portions of the personality, but for the very body itself. [...]

[...] Somewhere along the line you have to decide upon a cutoff point—that is, all portions of the personality have to do that together, or the conscious self is dragged along unwilling to cooperate....” [...]

[...] This does not prevent the unmazed portion of the self from watching, giving helpful hints of a kind to ward off discouragement. The helpful hints are themselves lessons, reminding the personality that only a portion of it is involved in the maze.

[...] Strictly speaking, it isn’t dictation for Mass Events, but Jane and I are presenting portions of it here because Seth discussed events and memory with a different emphasis, and touched upon aspects of reincarnation² — all subjects that spring out of that ineffable, really undefinable quality he calls simultaneous time. [...] There is a floating quality about one portion of the memory.

[...] But if you realize that a leaf is a portion of All That Is then you will realize what communion is. [...]

[...] In your terms, however, and strictly in your terms, I could seem to be a future Ruburt, and if you were in connection with other more eternal portions of your own personality that you could not materialize in physical terms. [...]

Creatures play because the activity is joyful, and spontaneous and beneficial, because it activates all portions of the organism — and again, in play youngsters imitate adult patterns of operation that lead finally to their own mature activity.

2. I’d say that when he talks about the “unused portions of the brain,” that physical organ, Seth means qualities of nonphysical mind as well. [...]

[...] Men dreamed their own maps in the same fashion, one man dreaming perhaps a certain portion, and several dreamers contributing their versions, drawing in sand in the waking state, or upon cave walls. [...]

The artist portion became outraged, so that the better husband you were, in that regard, the poorer it seemed the artist became—but (louder) at least you were seen to leave the house every day, as a good man should (with sly amusement). [...]

[...] Ruburt was presented with—or presented himself with—a situation in which large portions of his creative life appeared in books that were written in another state of consciousness entirely. [...]

[...] The idea of the Sinful Self has served as a large portion of that definition for centuries, bringing with it innumerable difficulties, of course. [...]

(Pause.) The rigidity that was a general characteristic is breaking up, you see, so that by contrast portions of his body do feel vulnerable to him—soft, unprotected—but those feelings were to a large degree covered over before. [...]

[...] His information on the sinful self opened up a very important development in Jane’s [and my own] search for an understanding of her symptoms, and I’m presenting excerpts from that session in Note 9. [Before long, I realized that I could use notes to carry portions of several more sessions on the sinful self.]

[...] Even though she often didn’t feel well, a portion of her creativity led her to have dreams of walking and dancing, of being completely healed physically. [...]

[...] of course, my feelings reflected upon the workings of my sinful self, or upon some similar psychological quality—for how could I be so involved with my wife’s challenges, for almost 26 years, without complementing them within deep portions of my own personality? [...]

By now it should be obvious to you that you perceive only a small portion of reality; indeed, that your idea of reality is formed and limited by your perceptions.

[...] Again, you merely perceive a small portion of any given action, and when you cease to perceive it then it seems to you that the action itself ceases, and so an artificial boundary is erected.

So, comparing the ball to an action, you perceive but the smallest portion of any given action, even one performed by yourself. [...]

[...] In actuality the mind is but a portion of the entity which looks out for the personality on the camouflage plane. [...]

[...] It is a mere portion of the entity itself.

[...] From the information you have been given before, and from the above paragraph, you should know that you are in contact with your own entities, in that the mind is a portion of the entity to begin with. [...]

[...] They are in some respects evolutionary developments, being the end portions of the inner senses transformed to some degree, to permit manipulation of camouflage pattern. [...]

[...] That is why you find personal memories at the outermost portion, but the subconscious also reaches to the entity itself.

[...] Once the personality realizes that even in life on your plane he is not always bound by physical data, and that even in physical life the most real portion of him is independent of physical matter, and in a personal way, then he will not fear death as a personal ending.
