[...] If you remember the early portions of our latest book (Mass Events), then this information should fall into place, for consciousness emerged from the inside outward. [...]

[...] In a way quite impossible to describe, it would be true to say that our sessions actually translate multidimensional images into words. [...]

[...] A small note to our friend — again — to trust the great power of the universe that forms his own image, to trust his spontaneity, and his body’s natural urges toward relaxation, motion, and creativity, as these show themselves in their own rhythms.

[...] Any expectations that our country had of the hostages’ early release have long since dissipated. [...] Jane and I find it fascinating to think about—to attempt to trace—some of the ways by which the overall consciousness of the United States continually becomes involved with—entwined with—the consciousnesses of adversaries like Russia and Iran: Such consciousnesses, once created, continue to grow and to complicate themselves in new ways within our concept of “time.” Obviously, on an even larger scale of activity, the consciousnesses of all the nations of our world contribute to the challenges and dilemmas swirling around the Iranian situation.

Before I discuss our main material, I have a few comments regarding strangers.

He thought of that term before our Framework 1 and 2 material, and his idea was that the impulses came from a part of the self that automatically knew the entire picture of the self’s environment and potentials. [...]

You are each making some excellent and vital readjustments, and our last session in particular should help clear your focuses. [...]

(Seth’s statement at the end of dictation for the 815th session, “I will try to begin work on our book in a more predictable fashion,” reflected his good intent, but things didn’t turn out that way. [...] We stayed with our Monday–Saturday evening session routine, though, and kept busy with all of our other projects.¹

[...] You can help most by reminding him of our resolutions when, say, he feels blue—for when he remembers them he does not need the reminder (with amusement)—and simply by reassuring him of his body’s good intent, and in its ability to follow through.

[...] I take Seth’s reference to a friend’s apothecary shop to mean the one operated by our friend in this life, John Bradley, who has been a witness to several sessions. According to Seth, John in his immediate past life ran such a shop in Boston; he moved at that time in the outer circle of our acquaintance. [...] In that life Seth states John died in 1863, which helps determine the time Jane and I lived in our immediately past life also.)

[...] This quality-depth is our only true perspective. [...]

Quality-depth, as you probably guessed, can be added to our rules or principles of the inner universe. [...]

[...] Ruburt’s performance during our sessions should certainly be adequate proof for my statements concerning additional energy automatically taken and used.

[...] The result of the experiment was that once more we were thrown back upon our own resources. [...] Our latest attempts to handle the mail are described in the final passages of my Introductory Notes for Volume 1. Seth’s most recent letter to correspondents is presented at the conclusion of those notes.

[...] “Maybe Seth will talk about our own things instead of giving dictation — your material on your father [which I received this past Sunday evening], or what you got on your mother this afternoon. [...]

[...] In fact, we’ve had trouble keeping up with our experiences, and little time to study them. [...]

[...] The table between Joseph and myself (Jane, in trance, sat with her feet upon our long narrow coffee table) does not feel invaded by the invisible particles that compose it. [...]

(A note by R.F.B.: Jane had formally ended her ESP classes by March 1975, when we moved from our downtown apartments in Elmira, New York, to the hill house at the edge of the city. [...]

[...] He came to get his rope out of the fireplace chimney—our family of raccoons is still there, evidently immune to the temptations offered by the rope. [...]

[...] As I turned on a couple of additional lights in the living room, to see to write by, our friends in the fireplace began to sound off —adding a new sort of whistling or crying sound—and Jane made what may be a good point: light may leak past the closed damper enough that the raccoons respond to that stimulus. [...]

(A long unscheduled session was held at the home of our landlord, James Spaziani, on the above date. It was attended only by Jane, myself and Marian Spaziani, the wife of our landlord, although others were present in the house.

[...] The meaning of the experience is stated in the final part of the session, so there is no need to go into it here; suffice it to say that the experience had a meaning, was not random but highly selective, and would be listed in our classification as “experiencing a concept.” [...]

[...] Here I started to feel the microscopic nature of our planet, comparatively speaking; a shrinking a momentary sense of desolation that was my own, I think; there was no attempt to deny integrity or uniqueness of physical life; but only to express... [...]

And this is the place to mention one of those happy analogies that I’m able to make occasionally (even though in this case it took me several months after I’d had my own little double dream to come up with the very obvious association) — for in our reality, the double or multiple dream happening offers at least a pale insight into the numerous lives that, according to Seth, our entity or whole self experiences simultaneously.

[...] We disliked interrupting our creative rhythms in that fashion, although in the meantime Jane kept ESP class going as usual, coming through as Seth and as Sumari within that context. [...]

[...] The first person I talked to was our friend Sue Watkins, who has attended ESP class almost from the time Jane started it in 1967. [...]

[...] She listened carefully, then said that “there’s something there on the dreams” — meaning that Seth was around, was aware of our conversation, and would probably comment. [...]

[...] Thursday in the mail receive a letter all about the new home-sized computers, how they worked, and how one could be used to work with our records and sessions....)

[...] She resumed in the same manner; indeed her delivery became even slower and more careful and deliberate, so that at times she would pace from one end of our living room, where we hold the sessions, to the other end before voicing the next word. [...]

[...] Jane was still sitting down as she spoke, facing me across our living room table.)

[...] Ruburt will not block personal data always in our sessions. [...]

[...] When possible I will endeavor to close our sessions before 11:30, for practical reasons, so that while you are learning to draw upon additional energy you will not be tired the following day. [...]

[...] Behind me in the fireplace we heard once again the mysterious scratching or chucking or chirruping sounds we’ve become aware of lately, as though a family of animals or birds has young hatching our or growing in a nest on the other side of the closed damper. [...]

[...] (Pause.) From the beginning Ruburt has questioned whether or not our material gave a true explanation of reality—or at least presented one that was as approximately true as possible. [...]

[...] Our material is the best approximation, the best approximate model you can perceive of a vaster psychological field of existence. [...]

When my children laughed I was overwhelmed with delight, and despite our privations, each morning was a triumphant surprise that we had not died in our sleep, that we had not succumbed to starvation. [...]

[...] It involved the two of us and was very optimistic; I was sure that in symbolic terms it dealt with our work. [...]
