Ruburt dispensed with our sessions on a regular basis with a vengeance after Nebene showed himself, toward the end of the book (Seth Speaks) in the living room.

A note added six months later: These lines are from a personal session Seth delivered on April 29, 1975, just five days after finishing dictation on “Unknown” Reality (in the 744th session): “Our books, and I am including Ruburt’s, fall into no neat category … In the beginning, particularly, and for that matter now, Ruburt had no accepted credentials. [...]

Seth continued the session by expressing his concern lest this kind of material lead to feelings of insignificance on our parts. [...]

My life is its own definition.
So is yours.
Let us leave the priests
to their hells and heavens,

the scientists
to their dying universe,

They want to keep Clark Kent and Superman entirely separate on a mental, psychical, and physical basis, and only in the terms of our analogy, and in line with our discussion, I become a supersoul rather than superman. [...]

(The last session, deleted, for June 27, had helped both Jane and me—at least once more we’d started the painful process of searching for insights into our belief systems. [...]

[...] She had no idea that much of the yard on the side of the house, from the street to the far back fence, had been earmarked by our landlord for sale to Dr Levine for a parking lot.

Your habits both became extremely sloppy in that regard, and it was easy for both of you to justify the lack of increasingly rewarding emotional interaction by saying it went into your separate work, and into our work.

You related in terms of your work, or our work, or as a couple with others. [...]

Our sessions, both of your creative works, the good you have done and are doing, the health that you have maintained—no serious organic defects—all of this is testament to what you have done.

Now: The Physical Universe as Idea Construction, mentioned by Ruburt in his Introduction, did indeed represent our first formal contact, although Ruburt was not aware of it at that time.
