We are largely over this hump now, and the actual writing of the book in its entirety will actually serve to strengthen his confidence in this respect, since the validity of our sessions will be stressed as he reads material for his book. At its completion he will be much more committed than he is now, and indeed our sessions will attain added depth through his acquiescence.

I am speaking now of the basic nature of reality, and not of any particular action, for particular actions can indeed be altered by other actions, and no given action occurs in a solitary manner.

Many of Frank’s ideas are appallingly shortsided, and while you are working with your own beliefs a visit every other week is enough for now—without courting Frank’s opinions, as can happen when Ruburt wants Frank, in conventional terms, to acknowledge improvements that are definitely occurring, but that Frank is too slow to perceive.
