(Seth discussed another matter involving Jane; after delivering about a page of material he ended the session at 11:19 P.M.)

(She had no actual idea of the subject matter for the session as the time for it approached. [...]

[...] She hadn’t really thought Seth would say that her dream and psychological time data were correct; she didn’t think, moreover, that Seth would ever come out with such material, no matter whose death was involved.

[...] The above mentioned matters were on his mind. [...]

[...] We will deal directly with the matter at hand. [...]

[...] (The new threats being the death of my mother; our freedom to travel, now that we have finished Personal Reality; the absence from home and the interruption of routine, etc., as we talked about tonight.) Reading our book however kept some improvements alive, and it was but a matter of time before he would read again the sessions of work that I gave him (as Jane did today). [...]

[...] As stated on page 11, my position is that Jane should dispense with her symptoms, as far as my behalf is concerned, no matter what the reasons might be on my part. [...]

[...] These are more or less psychic blueprints for physical matter, and in these mental genes existed the pattern for your human type of self-consciousness. [...]

(Earlier that evening, class members had been discussing some of the letters they’d been answering for Jane.¹ One young man mentioned “feeling like shit” in connection with another matter — a remark that Seth must have overheard. [...]

[...] Those “notes,” however, dealing with other matters, ran for several more pages before Seth said good night at 10:38 P.M.

Not only that, it is simply a fact that your scientists will indeed discover, and no misty, magical superstition, that consciousness, of itself and because of its nature, forms physical matter. Because I once inhabited physical matter, as you all do now, does not mean that I am now some esoteric, occult creature of dim spiritualistic rather doubtful origins, who manages to invade gullible and neurotic consciousness.

[...] The pendulum told her this came about because of her concern over the contract and money matters involving her ESP book. [...]

Ruburt’s desire to walk normally for that matter comes from Framework 2, for it is a natural desire, in harmony with his basic being, that would flow into actuality on its own—had he not put impeding beliefs and contradictions in the way, so that the desire itself was buried beneath, say, debris.

(I told Jane however that we should get some material on a matter broached to her by letter last week by Reverend Crosson, re a speaking engagement in New York City later this year. [...]

[...] There is a difference between this and the “withinness” out of which all matter springs. [...]

To me there are connections between such periodic activity and Seth’s information in the 684th session, in Section 1: “Your bodies blink off and on like lights … For that matter, so does the physical universe.” [...]

[...] No matter how far into the past they may seem to go, they emerge freshly and newly at the point of activation. [...]

[...] The quality of such material should show Ruburt by contrast the extent of his abilities, and he should not concern himself with any such matters, as far as worrying about them is concerned. [...]
