“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

Our friend John Bradley visited us this evening. We played part of the 170th session, which was recorded and directed by Seth to Dr. Instream. In the middle of a passage Seth suddenly came through, saying: “Why settle for a recording when you can have the real thing?” His voice was quite strong. He seemed in excellent spirits. John had never heard the loud Seth; the previous sessions he witnessed had all been quiet ones. Now Seth began to speak loudly and jovially. Rob made no notes, as Seth told him they were not necessary. These notes are written from memory.

(During this part of the impromptu session Jane’s voice became very loud and strong at times; it did not match the effects of the recorded 170th session, but came close once or twice. It was far too loud for the house, in my opinion, with others living so close. Jane’s eyes were open for the most part by now, and she, or Seth, often looked deliberately at me, knowing my embarrassment. But this did not prevent another strong blast. At times Jane got to her feet and tipped her head back, as she had done in the 170th session. At these points Seth would remark about using such a position to attain more power, and would talk about how impossible such an effect was for Jane to attain normally.)

The voice became very loud at times. I worried about the neighbors during our frequent breaks. It was a hot and humid night and our living room windows were of course open. Seth was obviously enjoying himself, and I was very active physically as I spoke for him. My eyes were open a good deal of the time.

[...] (Loud, very loud and strong.)

[...] (Very loud and strong.) You will also find at the end of this session that Ruburt’s vocal chords are in no way fatigued; and I can so speak here for hours, nor would this bother Ruburt in the slightest degree. [...] (Loud and strong.)

[...] But we have our conditions, and if your conditions shall be met (very loud here, to slowly subside) my dear friend, then so shall mine. (Loud again.) We will give and take. [...]

You know, and I know, that it is literally impossible for a woman such as she to speak in tones as loud and deep as those which I am now using. [...]

Now (loudly) I will leave with you some additional energy—that is, with both of you—use it and enjoy it.

(Amused, and loudly:) This is not a recording.

[...] Jane’s voice rose to some degree of loudness for the rest of this delivery. [...]

(Now abruptly her voice became strong and loud.)

[...] Her voice had been loud and emphatic, and it continued so until break.)

[...] She ended the delivery by staring at Bill again, and speaking in a loud and positive voice.

[...] You smile loudly (to Juanita). [...]

[...] I want that Mu to be as loud and hearty as you can make it, and I want you to take it and joyfully, and let it go through you completely. [...]

(Very loudly) As you sense the energy within this voice grab a hold of it, use it for your own purposes. [...]

(Jane rather surprised us by opening the session in a voice that was surprisingly deep and somewhat loud. [...]

[...] In that session her voice was also loud, much louder than in tonight’s session.

(Here Jane’s voice was deep and loud.)

[...] Seth closed out on a loud and deep and humorous note. [...]

[...] Her voice was quite a bit deeper also, but not loud; and it was very slow and with many pauses.)

(And at this time Jane’s voice was at its best—very loud and strong and powerful. [...]

(Very loud.) I want you to climb the vowels and syllables of this voice as if they were indeed a ladder, and let them carry you into dimensions that are native to you, dimensions that are yours by right, that are your heritage; (really booming) dimensions of awareness that you carry within you both day and night, beneath the level of your ordinary days. [...]

[...] Let it come down and fill your physical image with joy and vitality, with energy that will fill out your cells and your tissues, with energy that will heal whatever is wrong with your physical being, with energy that will straighten out your thoughts, open up the self that you know to the knowledge that belongs to you (loud) and has belonged to you before the beginning of your time. [...]

(Loudly:) End of session—

(Again, the above paragraph was delivered very loudly and emphatically.)

[...] Jane resumed in the same fast and emphatic, half-loud manner at 9:52, as soon as I said I was okay.)

[...] (Loudly.)

(Loudly, with a smile:) Now—I did not say good evening.

[...] She began speaking in a voice that was at least as loud as that used in the Father Trainor experiment earlier this evening, and that was loud indeed. [...]

I can indeed feel you quail at the volume of my voice (louder again), considering the ungodly hour (louder yet, really loud, blasting out with a smile, to soon quiet again), and so I will lower it. But I would like it understood that now, if I so chose, there would be no doubt (louder, very loud) as to my identity (and now also deeper) or my abilities.

[...] Her voice did not bother her; indeed it became very loud and powerful and dramatic, very vibrant. [...]

(Jane’s voice was rather loud, and it was to become much louder. [...]

[...] Her Seth voice was deeper than her usual voice to some extent, but it wasn’t loud, and I was sure no one would notice anything unusual sound-wise from the hall outside the closed door of room 330. [...]

[...] Jane’s voice had been the same as before: deeper but not loud; I’d felt good energy in it, I told her. [...]

(Loudly:) End of session, and my heartiest and sweetest regards to each of you.

[...] and torso, all the time grunting and breathing loudly. [...]

[...] Then even a bit more, breathing loudly, head going back and forth against the pillow.

[...] However, be not confused, for my own energy (loud voice) is far superior to his (louder), and though I dare not speak he listens at this hour. [...]

[...] Her delivery had been very active all evening, the voice loud at times, eyes open often—she had used, undoubtedly, great amounts of energy.)

[...] Although he lost his grip, he leaped after her leg again and gave a loud meow.)

[...] He gave voice to several loud cries and finally succeeded in anchoring himself upon one of Jane’s legs. [...]

[...] Loud noises. [...]

[...] Many of them were strong indeed, with loud grunting and panting noises. [...]

[...] Why do your fellow beings sometimes seem like unfeeling monsters — (loudly:) Frankensteins not of body but of mind, spiritual idiots, ignorant of any heritage of love or truth or even graceful beasthood? [...]

(Loudly:) Generally speaking (underlined), most of you live in your own world, with others of your kind. [...]

(Again loudly:) Michelangelo⁵ roamed the centuries, picking up visions and ideas as others might buy postcards, journeying from one country to a foreign land. [...]

The voice seemed to finally be formed, or to rise above this static, and on one occasion the voice was extremely loud.

[...] In other words the actual sound effects, had you been listening, might have appeared as a loud whisper.

The volume in Ruburt’s case was caused by proximity, among other things, and if I set up a small sound very close to him, so that it has an explosive and loud effect; but it was directed in such a manner that it was in a large measure closed off. [...]

[...] Nevertheless, such actions speak only too loudly of your mass beliefs involving the vulnerability of the self and its flesh.

[...] Then loudly:) If the universe existed as you have been told it does, then I would not be writing this book.
