“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(On Saturday and Sunday, June 28-29, Jane and I visited Saratoga Springs.

(The material below shows the contents of a discussion Jane and I had before this evening’s session, and Seth’s answers.)

(Seth refers to last night’s ESP class, in which Jane and some of her students obtained some unusual effects and experiences. [...]

(Jane had remarked several times today that she felt unusually “dragged out,” etc.)

[...] Jane was well dissociated; she didn’t remember the material except for the last few words. [...]

(Since August, when this session was held, it seems that little if anything has developed re Jane’s helper. [...] I do not hear Jane mention the concept of the helper very often. [...]

[...] Jane and I now are free, we feel, to do our own thing.)

(On November 16, as I type this material, Jane’s condition is the same, as far as I can tell.)

[...] Jane’s eyes were mostly closed, her pace good.

[...] Jane said she had been well dissociated. [...]

(I had several questions for Seth: they’d grown out of our activities in recent days, and I read them to Jane now.

(2. Last Thursday night, kidding around with Frank Longwell, Jane said I could have all the reincarnational material on my own lives that I wanted, but that she wasn’t interested in her own. [...]

(3. During a conversation Jane and I had wondered why the members of the human species were so woefully ignorant of the internal structure of their own bodies. [...]

(Jane’s delivery was quite fast, and remained so throughout the session.)

[...] Jane’s trance had been deep, her pace fast throughout. [...]

(10:53 P.M. Jane’s trance had again been deep, her pace rapid. [...]

(Since I hadn’t finished typing the 633rd session yet, Jane asked me to read her the last couple of pages of it from my notes.)

(As Seth-Jane delivered this material, my mind flashed back many years to a summer day when I was about eleven years old. [...]

[...] Jane’s trance had been deeper this time. [...] A fire engine had passed a couple of blocks away from our house at about 9:30; only now did Jane remember to tell me she’d heard it. [...]

(Jane was taking many more pauses.) The soul or entity is highly individualized spiritual energy. [...]

[...] Jane’s trance had been relatively light. [...]

(Jane began speaking in a fairly strong voice. [...]

[...] Jane was dissociated as usual, a bit more toward the end. [...]

(Jane said she felt somewhat tired before the session, and almost decided not to hold one this evening. [...]

[...] Jane’s pace had been good, her eyes open often, her manner emphatic. [...]

[...] Jane began speaking at a slower pace; oddly enough, when she did she sat up again, and after a few paragraphs her eyes were opening as usual. [...]

[...] Jane resumed the lecture to Pat’s students after a short rest. [...] Jane’s trance was now deeper, her pace faster and very emphatic; her voice began to go deeper and louder. [...]

(On July 3 and July 5th, I held long pendulum sessions, trying to learn what subconscious role I have been playing in Jane’s symptoms. [...] Jane at first did not agree with my findings, but her own pendulum verified my results.

[...] Jane’s pace had been a bit fast, the voice stronger, eyes open often, many gestures, etc. [...]

[...] (Jane cradled her arms in this characteristic gesture.) The elbows then bent, straining toward this position, representing a need for comfort, and the attempt to comfort himself. [...]

(“Concerning episodes like those with Elmira College, and the monks and the monastery: How come Jane doesn’t take steps to protect herself in advance from such implications?”)

(Jane’s question arose out of material in the 560th session in Chapter Fourteen: She wanted to know the name of the third personality making up the three-part Christ entity that Seth has postulated. [In Chapter Eighteen of Jane’s own book, The Seth Material, Seth gave as members of this entity Christ, of course, and John the Baptist.] I told Jane now that I thought Seth intended to go into this whole matter much more thoroughly later in this book.

[...] Jane’s pace had been consistently good. [...]

(Jane’s delivery had been fast ever since break, and continued so.)

(Compared to her intense approach in recent sessions, long portions of Jane’s delivery tonight were quiet and easy.)

[...] Jane, as Seth, took a lengthy pause as a fire engine passed the house, its siren screaming.)

(Hospital staff caused Jane to break off the session twice. [...] Temp up to 101.4 — Jane was angry. [...]
