“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

A word about what Ruburt calls his “helper.” In the past he drained his reserves. Now they are building up in all areas. There are excess energies now that act as magnets, drawing other positive energy to him in such proportion that the entire gestalt becomes in effect a psychic helper.

This helper now automatically helps heal Ruburt. Ruburt’s emotional energy is very strong, as you know. Thoughts and feelings of dejection were too faithfully materialized. Now the change shows in an acceleration also, in attraction toward the creative and positive which very quickly generated the birth of the helper.

(Since August, when this session was held, it seems that little if anything has developed re Jane’s helper. The ideas seem to be very good ones, and I remember that when the session was held we had high hopes. For one reason or another—or several—they have been set aside; finishing Seth’s book contributed of course. It’s educational to type up this material after such a long interval—but also somewhat discouraging, I’m afraid. I do not hear Jane mention the concept of the helper very often. The term will crop up when she has some kind of related psychic experience occasionally, but that seems to be all. Resume at 9:50)

Jane: Okay, you can call  it the dark side of the personality and you can compare, if you just look at it that way, the helper with the bright side of the personality if you want. [...] And I found out on building up this helper, you’re all building up also your own helpers in those terms, that you can use. [...]

[...] Well, helper is the opposite, sort of. According to what we got last night and this is just a preliminary, the helper is sort of made up of a surplus of positive energy, the desire to help people and so forth; but the best, plus, parts of your personality. [...]

According to what we got, both the Black Thing and the helper only exist when you have the kind of personality or the kind of abilities or something that draw a lot of energy where you got it to use. [...] That the helper is consciousness, that is it does have a consciousness that I have released. [...]

The comical series of events involving Floyd, one of his sons, and another helper had started this noon: “Hell, Rob, it’s a coon!” a surprised Floyd called down to me from the roof of the house, after the beam from his flashlight had illuminated the black mask across the animal’s face and made its eyes shine as it crouched at the base of the fireplace chimney. [...] Then while his two helpers stood guard to keep the raccoon in the tree, Floyd lugged a very heavy flat stone up the ladder and planted it across the chimney; he’s going to cement a wire mesh in place as a permanent seal against animals and birds.
