TES2 Session 76 August 3, 1964 expectations constructions aggressive money g.i

While many of your expectations are formed in childhood, no switch is really stuck in one position, and it is your prerogative to channel your emotional energy into whatever pattern for action you desire. It is extremely important, if difficult, to probe and to discover exactly what your present expectations are. Not your desires but your expectations, for you will only construct physically that environment which you believe capable of construction. It has been said that oftentimes men’s expectations are too high for their abilities, but indeed expectations form abilities; and if expectations were higher, so would abilities flourish.

I will, then, begin with a short treatise concerning the importance of expectation, not only in the construction of physical objects from inner data, but also in the importance played by expectation in the actual sifting of inner data that is received, and in the importance of expectation in the interpretation of inner data after the sifting process has been carried about.

If a man wants to change his fate, desire is not enough, but expectation is. Desire may grow into expectation, but alone it is not enough. Expectation is actually the main trigger that switches inner data into the realm of physical construction. Without it, no physical construction results.

An expectation of danger will indeed create danger. An expectation of success will create success. This is put very simply and yet there is nothing, in practical terms, more valid, since expectation has behind it the motivating force of the personality, and utilizes on a subconscious level strong abilities and comprehensions.

The heat problem of which Ruburt learned, was the result of expectations on the part of the previous tenants, and need not (underline need) have concerned you. DEaVF1 Chapter 3: Session 891, December 26, 1979 probabilities resolutions fairy versions peripheral

(9:25.) Great expectations, basically, have nothing to do with degree, for a grass blade is filled with great expectations. Great expectations are built upon a faith in the nature of reality, a faith in nature itself, a faith in the life you are given, whatever its degree—and all children, for example, are born with those expectations. Fairy tales are indeed often—though not always—carriers of a kind of underground knowledge, as per your discussion about Cinderella (also see the 824th session for Mass Events), and the greatest fairy tales are always those in which the greatest expectations win out: The elements of the physical world that are unfortunate can be changed in the twinkling of an eye through great expectations.

(With humor:) Tonight’s subject matter: “Great Expectations”—for I am here referring to the book by (Charles) Dickens.

TPS4 Deleted Session November 7, 1977 Keefe resources Ms Framework renewing

Each creature in its way is born with great expectations, and attempts to use whatever abilities it has to the fullest, to exercise them, and simply to thrill in their use. The day before Willy (One) died, his expectations were no different than they were when he was a kitten. His illness made performance more difficult, and yet in periods of rest he would start out again expecting to make the same leaps, and so often he did.

When for whatever reason you feel unsafe over a long period of time, or when you begin to retreat, in a frightened fashion—for there are many kinds of retreat—then you cut down your options to whatever degree, and you must of necessity cut down your expectations also. Under certain conditions in one area or another, or sometimes in many, you have dire expectations. There are too many people who expect the worst from you, yet even then the creative self will try from Framework 2 to bring all resources possible, through dreams and intuitions, to alter that pessimistic progress.
