I am most pleased with the chapter that Ruburt has written to open our book, [How To Develop Your ESP Power], and as you shall soon discover, events will work out as I predicted they would in the late summer.

I do not consider these small helpful hints of future events to be the sort of demonstration which in certain circumstances could annoy me. [...]

[...] They can permit you to become acquainted with other inward orders of events, and the rich bed of probabilities from which your physical existence emerges.

[...] The conscious art of creating, understanding, and using dreams has been largely lost; and the intimate relationship between daily life, world events, and dreams almost completely ignored. [...]

[...] Healings can take place in the dream state, where events at another order of existence alter the cells themselves. [...]

The overall reliance upon Framework 2 also arouses other events, and propels them into being—events that are favorable in other areas of your lives also, including the creative and business aspects. [...]

[...] Dreaming touches upon both microscopic and macroscopic events, or realities, and is not simply a human characteristic, appropriately appearing within your own range or within your own species. [...]

(Long pause at 8:50.) You are bound to have, then, many larger dream formations that can only be called group dreams—subjective events in which your own dreams happen, and in which your own dreams take part. [...]

You live your lives through your own subjective knowing, to begin with, and I will try to arouse within your own consciousnesses memories of events with which your own inner psyches were intimately involved as the world was formed—and though these may appear to be past events, they are even now occurring.

I told Jane that as far as I know the unimaginable explosion of the primordial superdense state, or entity, that resulted in the formation of our universe had been a straightforward event: Once begun, it kept going. [...]

3. Theoretical physicists have charted (assuming that the big-bang origin of the universe was a hot event) how the first explosion may have “evolved” from one with a temperature well in excess of 100,000 million degrees Kelvin into a cooler one of “only” a few thousand degrees Kelvin around 500,000 years later, so that atoms could begin to form. [...]

[...] This event marks the latest step in a rather complicated affair that began 18 months ago. [...]

As for Ruburt, he became overconcerned about work because of the contracts (for Mass Events and God of Jane, which we have yet to sign with Prentice-Hall), and the foreign hassles. [...]

You are doing well, and your notes (for Mass Events) are coming together in their own order, so let them.

[...] For them consciousness is nothing more than an epiphenomenon, the passive by-product of the brain’s physiology and chemical events. [...]

[...] Did three excellent pages James—and would have done more except for day’s events—called Edna B. about Cézanne; Tam called; Peg called about those nuts; two fans arrived. [...]

[...] Sessions 592 and 594 are particularly intriguing in that events occurring during the sessions highlighted and illustrated the dictated material.

[...] The point is that the odds didn’t seem to go in that direction and that I do think … we did mental work at other levels that resulted in that benign event … as if before we gave cluttered orders for an event to take place.

[...] Part of man’s latest over-identification with the intellect is, of course, an overreaction to those past historical events. [...]

2. Jane wrote these notes in her journal last Sunday, the day before she delivered this session on August 25 — but I present them here to show how, from her own perspective, she very nicely covers events I too wrote about in connection with the session.

If you do not understand this, then you will take your newspapers and other news unthinkingly, thinking that a fairly adequate picture of world events is being portrayed—a picture that only deepens the negative feelings that are behind the invisible organization of such data. [...]

[...] As long as you think that your physical information about the world, through newspapers and so forth, presents a fairly adequate, objective view of events, then all of the evidence to the contrary will literally be invisible, for you will continue to organize your view of the world in the old way. [...]

I am, again, not telling you to be blind to physical events, but to realize that the news media, and your organizations, are not giving you an “objective” view of the world, but a view compounded and composed by Freudian and Darwinian beliefs. [...]

Such an event represents an intent on both of your parts, you see, a joint effect, a changing of bodily response to a situation.

[...] Now we went over her recent dream activity, in the event Seth chose to offer material on that. [...]

[...] Ruburt used painting as an art in the dream rather than writing (pause), because it symbolized your joint ideas of art—to some extent, now—and allowed him to have you in his mind as he viewed the dream events.

(Incidentally, Jane today received her first letter—from a lady who has written her before—about Mass Events. [...] [Incidentally again, it is Thursday afternoon as I type, and in an hour one of the Ryall boys from the Handi Book Center in Elmira will be at the house to have Jane autograph 20 or so copies of Mass Events; the store received them today, and has a number of orders for copies. [...]

[...] To an extent they have served as their own stabilizers, giving you both excuses and protections from events of perhaps an intrusive fashion, such as the interviews or guests, or even strangers at the door. [...]

[...] The images within the dream are also highly coded, and are signals for underlying events that are basically not decipherable.

Consciousness at different levels or stages perceives different kinds of events. [...]

[...] You often go back in time, so to speak, and “relive” a particular event so that it has a different ending, or say things that you wish you had said. [...]

[...] According to Seth, some dreams are simple enough, dealing with unresolved present problems or events. Even in these, however, the dream event may also represent events from past lives.

[...] He is saying that though it did not occur historically, it did happen within another reality and emerged into history as an idea rather than a physical event—an idea that changed civilization. (According to Seth, of course, an idea is an event, whether physically materialized or not.)

Over and over Seth says that a dream or imaginative experience is as real as any waking event. [...]

[...] He forms the idea into a dream object or event with amazing discrimination, so that the dream object itself gains existence and exists in numerous dimensions. [...]

(Also about my illness: Seth doesn’t like to give warnings of future events, particularly when they may be only strong possibilities, yet avoidable. In these cases the suggestion itself could, under some conditions, bring the events about.

[...] Not that it is intended that you should close your eyes to world events, but that in your particular case there are times when, to you, such concentration upon world evils becomes extremely unwholesome.

[...] I am extremely cautious as far as giving warnings, since suggestion could play a part in bringing about the event which looms, merely as an unfortunate possibility, but not definitely as an actuality.

[...] While visiting us on the second day of my illness, John said that events transpiring within the drug firm he represents, Searle, appear to bear out predictions made by Seth some time ago. [...]

[...] It was not that they disagreed with each other’s interpretation of events. The events were different.

[...] The mystifying event took place during our vacation in York Beach, Maine, in August, 1963, a few months before Jane began to speak for Seth. At the time we understood little of what happened; yet the event represented a key episode at the very beginning of our psychic education; for in a crowded, smoky hotel barroom Jane and I unknowingly created physical “personality fragments” of ourselves — then came face to face with them. [...]

[...] And even if Stella Butts were still living, I think it would be difficult to question her about an event that would have taken place approximately a quarter of a century ago.

These particular events began Friday though now Monday afternoon I’ve nearly forgotten what Friday was really like. [...]

I thought of the many other people who must do the same thing if not with body sensations perhaps with events of other kinds. [...]

(11:00.) Some of the events that I see connected very clearly with these persons in the future may not, in your physical system, occur. [...] I told you that no events were predetermined. [...]

[...] This does not mean that I am necessarily aware of all events within your lives, or that I always break down the feelings I receive from you into specifics.

[...] I am aware, within the limitations mentioned, of future events in your lives. [...]

[...] The regularly scheduled session for last Wednesday night wasn’t held while we made ready for several approaching events, and as the days went by Jane [and I] simply forgot about what was coming up in “Unknown” Reality. [...]

(One of the events we’ve been preparing for is the visit tomorrow of Tam Mossman, Jane’s editor at Prentice-Hall, Inc. [...]

[...] In your terms, they fade into a probable series of events that do not physically affect you.

[...] It schematically shows the relationship of the individual birth-to-death cycle (including probable events), to the other, successively less differentiated kingdoms or realities that help make up the world. [...]

“My memories of those dream events are just as real as the memories of anything else I’ve done lately,” I said. [...] I’ve always been intrigued by the simple observation that for me at least, once they begin moving into the past dream events assume an increasingly important place in my life. [...]

[...] As a result, many of the events of your lives that are the natural extensions of those feelings appear alien (pause), against your deepest wishes, or thrust upon you, either by outside agencies or by a mischievous subconscious.
