(Pause at 11:23.) Quite deliberately you use your conscious mind playfully, creating a game as children do, in which for a time you completely ignore what seems to be in physical terms and “pretend” that what you really want is real.

(12:21.) In other terms, the self that you have projected into the future is sending you back encouragement from a probable reality that you still can create. [...]

[...] She was simply herself, and her sense of self, with her individual abilities and appreciation of the world she created and reacted to, grew in a very natural manner as she matured. [...]

[...] It attains that form, however, because it responds to a future time,² a future self not as yet physically created.

Man’s physical world, with all of its civilizations and cultural aspects, and even with its technologies and sciences, basically represents the species’ innate drive to communicate, to move outward, to create, and to objectify sensed inner realities. [...]

[...] They not only color your experience, but you create those events that more or less conform to those assumptions.

[...] And if it is, it will be created in your terms now, through your dreams, your love, your desire and your intent. [...]

[...] Then in the bathroom it came to me as we prepared to retire: the feeling in the groin was like a knot—and my realization had been triggered by Seth’s remark about tension I had created in that area. [...]

[...] You do not want blind followers, as once you had them, but you do want to create your own kind of inner civilization, and you are.

[...] Bates’s book, or rather philosophy, suggesting that the eyes were not made for reading, is an example of a different kind, implying that there were no books when the eye was created—and so therefore it is not natural for the eye to see letters—while it is natural for the eye to see, say, trees. [...] In one way you are learning to create yourselves. [...]

Each dream location is created by the individual precisely in the same way that I have explained to you; that is, they do not differ basically from physical locations, but in one degree. [...]

[...] Each person is distinct, yet each is an added dimension of the others, so that on different levels the four [in this case] create an alliance and become a four-fronted counterpart self; covering a given century … This is a ‘working alliance’ that exists in potential form always. [...]

(This appendix was inspired by two blocks of material Seth covered in the 711th session: Jane’s hearing his voice recently in the sleep state [see her own notes at the start of the 710th session], and the bridge personality she and Seth have created “between dimensions,” or between themselves.

[...] Seth discussed the psychological bridge Jane and he have created between themselves for purposes of communication; yet most of his material came through in response to my question about his availability to us. [...]

Nor have we yet discussed those dream elements which have sufficient energy propulsion to maintain existence in the plane upon which they were created. [...]

[...] It should not be forgotten that these environmental systems are directly created by those who dwell within them, and this includes your own.

[...] He would also be driven to critically analyze the phenomena (hyphen)—and in books, because he is a writer—before he felt free enough to simply create (period).

[...] In the overall drama however it made little difference what was fact, in your terms, and what was not — for the greater reality transcends facts and creates them. [...]

[...] To me, redemption means a continuous search or journey, then, involving whatever events and interchanges we choose to create, for whatever purposes, along the way—and truly, I think, some of those purposes will involve things “the conscious mind may not be able presently to perceive.” [...]

There followed many sessions, both regular and private (or deleted, as we sometimes call them), in which Seth discussed Frameworks 1 and 2. As can happen when we’re consciously too close to a deep-seated situation, some little time passed before Jane and I realized the obvious: It wasn’t that we were unable to tune into Framework 2, say, for help in effecting a healing for her in the joint reality we’d created in Framework 1—but that in physical reality we were drawing from Framework 2 exactly what we wanted to, even if often on unconscious or unwitting levels.
