“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(Earlier this evening I reminded Jane of the conversation about cells, versus their components, that we’d had because of Seth’s material at 9:38 in Session 705. Some of tonight’s book work refers to the questions growing out of our talk I think, as does Seth’s brief clarification near the end of the session.)

Dictation … The cells of course are changing. The atoms and molecules within them are always in a state of flux. The CU’s¹ that are within all matter have a memory bank that would far surpass any computer’s. As cellular components, the atoms and molecules, therefore, carry memory of all the forms of which they have been part.

Give us a moment … At basic levels, of course, the motion of a muscle involves the motion of cells and of cellular components. Here I am saying that the atoms and molecules themselves, because of their characteristics, not only deal with probabilities within the body’s cellular structure, but also helps the body make predictive judgments about entities or objects outside of itself.

[...] Those thoughts, as clearly as I can explain this, rise from inner components of which you are unaware.

When the thought is thought, it is, say, broken down again to those components. [...]

In a way events are like the spoken components of language, yet voiced in a living form — and not for example only sounded. [...]

[...] You deal with the psychological components of actions which you will, awake, form into the consecutive corporal “language” that results in the action of your days.

I do have a structure nevertheless, and I can change or interchange the components of that structure so as to appear or operate under vastly different conditions. During these sessions I use my basic energy components in a different manner than I would under other circumstances. In other words, I change the alignment of my components, focusing my powers into one particular direction.

[...] I have said that I can change the alignment of my components. [...]

[...] A few in your country are becoming aware on a very faint theoretical basis, when they consider the possibilities involved in the breaking down of physical components into basic energy forms, such theories being considered I believe along with a future space program. [...]

In these instances the electromagnetic components were made to change range, so that they could be picked up by the physical ear. The static was the coming together of the components before the words were formed from them.

They could not have been received by the physical ears because the necessary transformation of components had not been made within that range. [...]

[...] When a unit is in the act of combining with another, it aligns its components in a characteristic way. When it is separating itself from other units, it will align its components in a different way. [...]

[...] The electromagnetic components of the atmosphere and of the personality both are in a state of unbalance, that changes very rapidly. [...]

(Pace speeding up.) Certain chemical and electromagnetic changes occur within Ruburt’s physical system during sessions, and the manipulations are more difficult when there is much instability of environmental elements and physical components.

[...] (Pause.) When a unit is in the act of combining with another unit, it aligns its components in a characteristic way. When it is separating itself from other units it will align its components in a different way. [...]

[...] The cells then, being a gestalt, contain the individual conscious components, which then form a consciousness greater than the consciousness of any individual component within, and different in scope and ability.

As the physical atoms and molecules combine to form cells, and the cells to form physical organs, and as they do not lose their individuality in so doing, and as the atoms and molecules themselves actually gain and share in higher perceptions because of this gestalt, so do the basic components or fragments of an entity constantly form new and varied personalities; and these in turn form entities of their own.

[...] When the whole physical body is constructed, the individual personality-consciousness is again more than the sum of its component parts.

[...] Note that Seth would give a complete list under one heading, then match its components item by item with their opposites — no small feat, I would say, considering the number of issues involved. [...]

[...] A wrist is not held frozen because of one belief only, but because of a belief that is composed of many small components. This evening some important key components dissolved. [...]

[...] She also felt that Ruburt was a poor woman to begin with, in a way, because the intellect and femininity did not seem to mix—that is, Ruburt’s mother considered them odd components.

The energy of this inner self is directed and used by it to richly form from itself, from components and inner experience, a material counterpart in which the outer ego then can act out its role. [...]

[...] It constantly translates the components of its gestalt into reality, either physical reality through the EE units I have mentioned, or into other realities equally as valid.

Ruburt has at times been able to throw his consciousness into small physical instruments (computer components, for instance), and to perceive their inner activity at the level of, say, electrons. [...]

[...] So, often, you attempt to examine the nature of the brain in man by destroying the brains of animals, by separating portions of the animal brain from its components, isolating them, and tampering with the overall integrity of both the animal in question and of your own spiritual processes. 3. Speaking literally, because of their dissolution upon the death of their host, the man’s cells won’t become part of the animal’s structure — but at least some of the long-lived molecular components of those cells could do so, and with all their memories intact. [...]

The child first explores the components of its psychological environment, the inside stuff of subjective knowledge, and claims that inner territory, but the child does not identify its basic being with either its feelings or its thoughts. [...]

[...] One picture is transposed upon the others, and calculations made constantly, so that all of the components that make up physical existence are met, and intersect to give you life.

This smallest psychological unit represents the minimum individual psychic component, the most basic personality building block, from which other more complicated psychic structures are formed.

[...] The idea itself, once you have conceived of it, represents an additional energy component that you build up, formulate and manipulate on the psychological level, and then transform; but the idea itself contains energy.
