“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

While probabilities do operate, your consciousness usually deals with one at a time. In your terms, after class broke up last evening another class began, as those events were experienced in the private and mass psyche of those involved. This “second class” did not actually happen, however, after the first one, but simultaneously. It represented the larger dimensions of the event of the class, and those events that composed it did take place at a different level of actuality.

Carol left the physical class (early), but still participated at that other level of reality in the entire proceeding. Pat (Arnold), who has not attended lately, psychically is present. In that dimension therefore Ruburt was aware of both presences. He was perceiving the greater dimensions of the physical class event. In those terms Pat, who did not attend the physical class, attended a probable one; and Carol, who was not present for the end of the official class, was a participant in the probable one.

To Ruburt’s experience the classes seemed separate, one real and the other probable. But these simply represented the greater, usually unperceived, dimensions of any class event (or of any perceived event).

[...] With others you can get an idea for things in class that you can do on your own. [...] is that I’m also sending stuff out to some of the regular members in class who are working hard and to whom I dont have time to speak in class. [...]  I think that before we finish all the regular class members will be having dream experiences that are as vivid as what goes on in regular class. [...]

Anyway, we do different things in that class and one of the things that we did, you know how we in this class use the pyramid at the top of the head to contact other probable selves? Well, in that class I suggested that we use the pyramid and I didn’t give them any suggestions as to what they might come up with, but just that they send their consciousness out. [...]

[...] I’m sorry to say that Florence will not be able to come to class next week, so I suggest that we take Sue, instead of Ron or Florence, and all work on Sue this week. [...] And I’m saying good night for Seth and that means class is over. [...]

[...] These meetings occur in this room, but they also occur in other realities, and when you come here to this class you are also attending a class on another level, and you are not aware of those classes, though I am aware of them. I am very aware of them, for while our friend Ruburt gives this class, I have been giving other classes and you have all been there. [...]

[...] When these classes in this room are in progression, other portions of your own personality are attending other classes. [...] And you will see that while you are aware of simply one room and one time, and one evening and one class in your present moment, there are other rooms and other classes and you sit in them all. (Student Bill Herriman is a professional pilot who flies a considerable distance to Elmira for class; his counterpart in class, Carl Jones, lives in Elmira each summer while giving instructions in sailplane flying, the third member of the counterpart trio, Bill Granger, is not a member of class, lives in Elmira, has always had a deep interest in aircraft, and is now learning to pilot sailplanes. [...] Seth’s naming a good number of class members as counterparts came as no great surprise to Jane and me — but it did make us more than a little suspicious at first. (It happened that in ESP class last night Seth came through with material pertaining to the nine families of consciousness he’d begun discussing a week ago; see the 732nd session. These class excerpts, which I’ve rearranged somewhat for easy reference, may be used when considered with book material still to come, since Seth will occasionally use the class format to supplement his dictation in our “regular” sessions. The Sumari experience began when one family, the Sumari, learned that some class members felt alone in this world — bereft of family, often. A class member lost a father. [...]

[...] The death of the student’s father had taken place on Thursday, November 11 of that year; Jane’s father, Delmer, died without forewarning on the following Tuesday, November 16; Jane came through with Sumari in class one week later, on November 23; and the next night, in the 598th session, Seth discussed Sumari for the first time.

Often spontaneously we had class sessions, and as you noticed he would miss our next session. [...] Nevertheless, the class sessions serve an important purpose. [...]

(In Session 725 Seth discussed the spiritual aspects of our biological nature, and in Note 4 for that session I presented brief excerpts from the material he’d given in ESP class the night before, on the truly limitless “ceilings to the self” or identity.

(In that same class, however, Seth also brought our biological nature “down to earth” in most literal terms. [...]

(Earlier that evening, class members had been discussing some of the letters they’d been answering for Jane.¹ One young man mentioned “feeling like shit” in connection with another matter — a remark that Seth must have overheard. [...]

[...] To an engineer he gives an explanation of the pulsations of atoms, discusses mental health with a nurse and aggression with a minister — all class members. [...]

I have been here, as Ruburt knows well, through your class this evening, and he has given me permission, for I would not dare peek into this class unless he told me that I could do so. [...] But Ruburt knew that I would be here before class was over, and I come to you with no great pronouncements. [...]

Now there have been several developments here in class with these two (Vera and Theodore) and there are other developments which should come in this class. [...]

When I come in this class I do so so that you realize the knowledge that is in the material comes through a personality, and that I am not some “ditto.” [...]

(Class had been discussing dream realities, personality, etc., for about an hour; Gert and Sheila began talking back and forth on Sheila’s ideas on separate personalities, when Jane interrupted to say that she had one impression that the “hole in the universe” had opened up in Sam Levine’s house and a crowd of people were flying from it into the room. (Sumari:) It is with this always we begin, and we begin our classes. [...]

Concepts are extremely important and we will never leave them aside in class, but you must learn to experience a concept, and in order to do so, you must realize the importance of your own inner experience. And since many of you are not doing too well out of class in this regard, you can do it in class. [...]

Now, this class worked for our young friend because she was ready to use her abilities and open to use her abilities and prepared. Some of you are ready and using your abilities, to some extent, but the ideas you have discussed in class this evening will be a great benefit if you follow them through. [...]

[...] Some of you would rather stand up in this class and say, “I killed an animal in hatred” or “I knocked a man’s guts out” or “I shot my neighbor” almost, rather than express a simple statement of love or acceptance to another person in the class wholeheartedly and act, that was not an act, when you are not a star performing. (In ESP class for April 16, a student asked Seth to comment on “the differences between the male and female [human beings] as we understand them.” [...] [This sometimes happens in class: Seth will elaborate upon book information, or discuss it from a different viewpoint; this in turn makes Jane and me want to see such material used in the book.])

[...] For perhaps five minutes she sang to the class in Sumari,² the trance language she initiated a few years ago. [...] Class members discussed the song briefly. [...]

All time is simultaneous (Seth told the members of class), and so you are male and female at once.
