At the beginning of these notes I wrote that three months passed after Jane finished Chapter 10 of Dreams before she held her next session—a private one—on November 9. In that short session Seth sought to add his reassurances to Jane’s own, and to mine as well.¹⁰ On the 12th Columbia was launched as scheduled, but only after another delay caused by the failure of an electronic decoding unit. This was merely your own subconscious symbolism, but you were unaware of it and therefore of its effect upon you, and so I mention it.

I want to stress some points mentioned in our last session, to the effect in particular that you perceive only a small portion of any given action even when that action has some of its origins within your own physical field.

(I for one had never thought of Jane’s symptoms as having such a cause, but...I am still puzzled by the worsening of her symptoms when we got back home after being on tour to publicize The Seth Material, in September of 1970. [...]

(Jane also reported that twice within the past two days she had received “flashes” in the third person, to the effect that our bed, temporarily in the living room, should be moved to my empty studio in the back of the apartment if we are still here next winter. The messages were to the effect that “Ruburt’s psychic energies could be dangerous if he [Jane] does all his living in one room.”

[...] The 26th session with John Bradley as a witness had done her much good; especially had the telepathy effect increased her confidence. [...]

This experience alone with me will yield financial benefits, but not because you would naturally like it to be so, but because you are expanding, and for some other allied causes. [...]

This holding back is superficial, a direct effect of your present mother’s own personality, as you reacted to it. [...]
