Now first of all Joseph, when I speak too quickly you simply must tell me so. If you do not speak out then indeed I am not to blame—

I have no reason particularly not to answer them. However the questions involve more than you know; I am, Marleno, no guardian angel. I do not flap my wings. I have no wings to flap.

My interest is concerned with those personalities with whom I am involved, and the circle of my interest includes those who come to these sessions; as indeed your own interest includes those people with whom you are acquainted. I never attempt to meddle into the private lives of those with whom I am concerned. If I am invited to comment, then I do.

I find that in black and white my words may sound harsh. Yet I do not so intend them. I am simply concerned with your existence, and with Mark’s, in the same manner with which you are concerned with the existence and circumstance of a friend.

I am indeed aware of many of the events in both of your lives, but it is relatively simple for me to so acquaint myself with your situations. I am willing at any time to render whatever services I can so render, but I do not walk ghostily through your rooms; and most certainly I do not peek through the windows.

There are reasons why certain personalities have been drawn to our sessions. This is obvious. Some of you have known each other in past lives. There are other reasons which, if you will excuse me, we shall not consider this evening simply because you do not yet have a basic understanding of certain issues which are involved. You can be assured of my interest and concern. My scope of activity is simply larger than your own.

I am aware of more and yet the reason for my concern could be called a quite human reason. You were drawn to the sessions for various reasons. These have something to do with both my interest and my concern. Mark in his own way is also so drawn.

It is very possible that Ruburt will soon discover that I am who I say I am. He knows this subconsciously, but I am speaking now of a conscious recognition. I now bid my friends a fond (deeper and louder) good evening. And if I do not sound like a nightingale, it may be said that I speak in tones not quite as bad as a grandfather frog.
